From beginning to the end, it was a wonderful meal. Arrived early and the place filled up fast. Everything is fresh, not the traditional heavy Mexican. The queso is lovely and not spicy, but you know how to do that yourself to your desired level. The chips are cripsy and thin as they are made in-house, yay. The plates are large, so if you are a light luncher, consider bringing a friend to share with!The tres Leche cupcake was a moist and divine ending to the meal.

Bartender was so rude and said she’s been working there for 10 years but portrayed characteristics of someone new to the industry or someone that simply doesn’t care about their job. Never said hi just “what do you want to drink?” while staring at her Toast handheld machine. Only became polite when it was time to collect her tip. As a fellow bartender, it’s not that hard to be nice and contribute to the experience in a positive way. Food was great and everyone else that worked there was really polite.

I went here last night with my fiancé and a friend, and was surprised at such a cool little place hidden just outside of Manitou. The aesthetic of the place is fantastic and it looks great. My habanero margarita was good, with a nice level of spice. For my entree, I ordered the steak burrito smothered in half green chile and half mole. The food was good, (honestly nothing to write home about) but at $19 I felt the portion was really small. Especially for a burrito. It was more enchilada-sized, and I had no trouble cleaning my plate (which is a super rarity) while still having an appetite afterwards. The green chile was standard, the mole as well, and I could’ve gotten a better steak burrito at La Casita. If the quality were much higher, I’d understand the small portions. But this was pretty run-of-the-mill Colorado Springs Mexican food for a higher price and smaller serving than just about anywhere else. I appreciated the experience but most likely won’t be back.

I'm guessing the people of Manitou Springs have never had true Mexican food if this is a 4 star restaurant. The service was great. Our server was amazing. If you're coming here to get a meal, get some salsa, the sweet potato fries appetizer and leave. The food tastes like cafeteria food. Nothing really has flavor, and the rice tasted like it was cooked in soapy water.

This was a beautiful place in a gorgeous town. The food was excellent with the chef's twist on the dishes which made for some nice menu options. Next time we are in town we will definitely stop again to try some new dishes.
