PGs is my favorite morning spot in Manitou. The atmosphere is casual and cozy and they have many gluten free options !

So disappointed. Went here for lunch thinking it would be a cute spot with local food. Spent 61$ for two people. I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to food but this place hit a nerve. their avocado toast had literally LITERALLY raw shave DIRTY skin peels of a carrot “not pickled” like the menu advertised , FOUR small cut up pieces of seafood, basic store bought quack on basic sourdough from the store, our Mimosas were biter and served in chipped dirty plastic cups and the club sandwich was literally lunch meat and bread no flavor at all and hardly any sauce if literally any at all.

The Reuben was outstanding, but $3.50 for the gluten-free bread? That’s more than half of a loaf of Outside the Breadbox! (Which is the bread they used).

That up charge is enough that this won’t be a regular stop when I’m working over on this side of town, but I’ll come occasionally.

This place was fantastic! Everything was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed the atmosphere! Great coffees, juices, sandwiches, and breakfast dishes! Could not have been more pleased, will absolutely return next time I’m in town!

The food is excessively priced. The juices are essentially a combination of mainstream juices of low quality and overpriced as well. The service is sluggish and dismissive; it is unclear whether this is due to the patrons’ race or simply their general slowness. We visited based on the positive ratings, but our experience was overwhelmingly negative. We recommend that you allocate your funds elsewhere. (As a trained chef, I would not mislead people in this manner.)

Great old venue! Staff members were welcoming and helpful. We sat outside on the porch. You can choose from anything on the menu for breakfast/lunch. We started with hot lattes. The burger was very good and the salad was fresh (and cut into bite-sized pieces - thank you!). The bacon was crispy and the eggs over-easy as ordered. The pancake was very flavorful with thick syrup. The fruit bowl included fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. The antiques and memorabilia were interesting in the lobby area and in the hallway to the restroom. We're glad we stopped in and will definitely be back. Sorry about few photos - I was more focused on stuffing my face than taking pics!

Persephone Grae’s is a true hidden treasure. From the moment we stepped in, Lyman—owner, host, and all-around character—made us feel like family. His personality fills the room: warm, witty, and wonderfully welcoming.

The atmosphere is charming and cozy, filled with eclectic touches that make you want to linger. We ordered the Breakfast Platter, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve had—generous portions, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of breakfast that sets the tone for a great day.

Between the food, the vibe, and Lyman’s magnetic presence, this place is an experience worth savoring. We’ll absolutely be back.

Just had lunch here, food was pretty disappointing for the price. Thought the veggie sandwich might be good, but there was no flavor. Think of a plain salad without dressing on a bun. The chickpeas were supposed to be marinated...but I think that was only in olive oil. Big missed opportunity for a spread, or dressing or anything really to give flavor. The best part was the bun. Also, no chips or anything on the side for $12? For just bread and a handful of veggies and chickpea?
Service was good, and the atmosphere was historic and fun, just wish my food matched.
Edit: just looked at the menu again, and the website says there should have had balsamic dressing, maybe they just forgot?

This was a great spot for a late breakfast on Monday morning. I'm sure it's packed during the weekend. The food was great and the kitchen absolutely nailed their egg temps. They had awesome espresso too! Breakfast was great and what I saw of the lunch menu looked good as well. It's a no frills counter service that hits the spot.
