This place has good food for the price. I had thought there would be more table service, but it ended up being more “order at the counter and listen for your name” type of place. I tend to tip a bit less at these places because they do far less work/service, but the food was still good. We enjoyed our time but would have liked more service for the price.

This nice little joint in a cute little town minturn. The food is great the atmosphere is all there too. No table service but there are tables to be sat in. Food came out fast which is imperative to go-doers trying to start there day. Great prices and better portions.

I showed up an hour before they closed hoping for some eggs during the off season. I was told they were only serving their lunch menu. The only two customers there were my friend and I. They weren't out of ingredients, it's the same cook, the grill was still on and hadn't been cleaned yet. Give me one reason why I was denied a scramble other than sheer laziness. I'd say I wouldn't return, but there's not too many options in the valley.

Great breakfast spot. The breakfast burrito is huge and coffee was good. I was tired while ordering but the woman at the register helped me through it.

Two full vegan options with plenty of flavor including a fancy grilled cheese with veggies. Hubby is not vegan and thought the burrito was impressive (it was so big he couldn't finish it and the guy said must people don't.

That breakfast burrito though!!!!! I’ll be back for round #2 before heading back home. Outta this world. Filled and folded to perfection. A++

We were in town, Beaver Creek/Avon, for a family wedding and looking for a vegan-friendly place to eat. This quaint little cafe was absolutely perfect. I’m vegan and ordered the Raj, a black coffee, and a boozy brunch drink (the fizz). My hubby is vegetarian and ate the Lou’s scramble, a cold brew coffee, and a boozy brunch drink (the dude). We paid $60 + tip it came to about $75. Indoor and outdoor seating available as well as counter seating. Vegan bakery options as well. They also have smoothies, vegan cream cheese with bagel, vegan grilled cheese, and more. Dog friendly indoors and outdoors. Really adorable, in a cute little mountain town. A must try!

The bagel with vegan cream cheese was soooo good, there are not many places with vegan options around, so this is a good find! I also had one of the smoothies and the gf blueberry muffin, it was delicious! My fiance had eggs😄 Updated from previous review on 2025-07-18

Saw a poor review of the vegan grilled cheese under these reviews so I felt i needed to post. My husband and I just visited Minturn for the first time recently and we LOVED Sunrise !!!! This place is such a gift to have in town with the vegan friendly options!! First day we both got smoothies (they get major points for using coconut milk/yogurt in all their smoothies to encourage dairy free eating) the smoothies were delicious. The next day following a hike, we split one order of the Raj, which was a delicious sweet potato/ bean/ avocado hash. Loved all the great nutrients and flavors from that, and then we balanced it out by both getting our own vegan grilled cheese thats on the menu.

Let me just say these grilled cheeses were DIVINE! Not even exaggerating they were insane. I wish I had a Sunrise down the street from where I actually live full time. My husband could only produce compliment after compliment for this sandwich. We are both major foodies but have only been vegan the last couple years. Seriously the vegan grilled cheese is actually insane. I didnt know what to expect, but it blew expectation out of the water. Its made completely differently than any grilled cheese ive made at home or seen on a menu, and I mean that in the best way.

Hopefully i can try to reverse engineer the deliciousness at home in the mean time until we return again. Also- the locally made Avon bakery bread the sandwich is made on? Delicious. Could taste the bread quality difference immediately. We dont even eat roasted red peppers, but they were perfect on this sandwich.

To anyone whos not vegan- or has some strange aversion to plant based food- you are seriously missing out. I cook a lot at home so my restaurant expectations are high. The only time “vegan” food doesnt taste good is when its not prepared well. Similar to gluten free eating, if something is actually made well, it should never “taste” vegan or “taste” gluten free (as someone with a gf family member who also cooks a lot) Eating vegan is not a sacrifice, its just different ingredients. The chef at sunrise clearly knows what they are doing.

On that note, the staff here are super kind and friendly. I did not catch the name of the person who took our orders, but she is wonderful. Also the bathroom was very nice and clean. Cant wait to return for these delicious plant based options! Try to arrive in the earlier half of the morning though, this spot is popular, it seemed that right after we arrived a massive wave of people came and seating was maxed out in no time !

We had a great lunch at Sunrise - I had the Reuben sandwich and my wife had a Greek gyro - all in all the lunch was delightful and we would come back and visit

The food was amazing!!!! Definitely recommend stopping for a meal or even a great baked good.
