😀love the creative cocktails (ginger cucumber margarita!) and food. fabulous patio overlooking the river with amazing sunsets.
Outstanding! The spirits, beer, food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding. Bought a bottle of their single malt and tequila to take home. Actually considering going back for supper tonight.
I recently visited the Montrose location and honestly, I'm blown away. To start, the server we had was very polite and her serving was perfect! She didn't come to our table too much, or too little. I had a question about the sourcing of the elk meat and she didn't know, but she responded that she would find out and return. She did so promptly with an answer.

Shelter Distilling - Montrose Regional Airport offers craft-quality drinks and great food. The cocktails are smooth and well-balanced, and the food is great. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish—perfect for unwinding before or after a flight. The selection of spirits is great, and the beer is brewed in house. The service and ambiance are outstanding.
The food and drink are amazing. The elk carpaccio and the beef tacos are excellent; the tacos melted in the mouth like butter. The desserts are also amazing, including the apple pie made in house with fresh apples and a chocolate dessert that wasn't overly sweet. The quality of food places right up there with Forbes 4 and 5 star restaurants. The prices are great, especially for the quality of food. Portions are perfect. The environment is very clean, sleek, and friendly. The location is on the river front and has an area for corn hole and other games, offering a great view. The manager is very sincere and took time to discuss sourcing, confirming all products are locally sourced out of Montrose.
