May have been an off night, food was cold, undercooked. Service was good however when the server comes back and says the chef says our feedback was not legit, that's concerning.

I’ve eaten here before and had a good time, but tonight was quite different. The appetizers came out quickly, and we’re good. But, the entrée took a lot longer and when the food finally got there, it was cold. The meat was cold, the lobster was cold as were all the sides. Also the meat was supposed to been cooked medium, but it was rare. When we mentioned this at the end to the waiter, the waiter couldn’t understand how it was possible that it was cold, and went back and talk to the chef, and they couldn’t understand it either. So basically, they were saying we were lying. They did nothing to make it right. I will never eat there again.

Had a great experience. The food was spectacular! We had the Branzino which was perfect as was the Beef wellington. Highly recommend the deviled eggs.

Most likely the best restaurant for a group of friends. Set in a 5 star Forbes hotel the ambiance is like eating at home with friends. Everything is served family style and sharing isn’t only encouraged, it’s practically mandatory. My favorite dish was the elk loin because it was so juicy and tender but the foie and tartar we started with was to die for. Would absolutely recommend to friends and family.

So disappointed. I have to think this was a very off night. Not one table in whole room occupied. We were seated beside a wall next to the solo guitar live music who was busy setting up as we were about to enjoy a nice cocktail and conversation. Then a large “been drinking all day” group showed up and took over the sofa by the fireplace. This meant the pleasant atmosphere we were hoping to enjoy was over. Menu was very $$$&&. $100 loaded baked potato with truffle oil. 9 piece Charcuterie board $95 and truly almost nothing on the menu except a 2 lb chicken for under $100. this is a restaurant in a hotel so it has that atmosphere. Management did comp our drinks and we left.

We had reservations but were bumped to a small table outside (30 degrees) without heat. They bumped us due to a large event and did not notify us. Terrible experience we went elsewhere for

This is our 2nd year dining at Timber Room and we have been very impressed both times. The staff were all warm and on point (esp our waiter Boone), service was excellent, and the roast chicken with vegetable sides divine!

We dined for my husband's birthday and had a fabulous experience. The food was fantastic. Three of us shared the elk loin with huckleberry sauce. It came with sides of carrots, potato puree, and brussle sprouts. I learned you can also order off the Black Iron menu. We had the gnocci and pork cheeks from that menu. The flavors were phenomenal. We ended our meal with the chocolate budino, which I would not have ordered from the menu description, but our daughter works there and knew it was for the chocolate love in us. The service was top notch with everyone being genuinely nice and friendly.

Our server was informative and lovely. Service was a little slow, though. The hummus and baba ganoosh were really excellent, small portions - but delicious and reasonably priced. Our Cosmo and White Russian had a punch and were perfect! Some of the other prices were so high, they were laughable - like the $100 and $125 baked potatoes. That was memorable.

Amazing ambience. Wait staff was wonderful. Cocktails were delicious. Food was outstanding. Would recommend this as one of the best restaurants on mountain village side of Telluride.

Beautiful spot, but very slow service...took 10 min to get a drink (hello Bar Rescue). The food was good but portions are greatly reduced from our last visit 2 years ago (which was amazing all around, but not this time). The elk was dry (cooked medium). All food was tasty (save elk, chicken was amazing) but prices are a bit crazy given small portion size. Got home after spending $1,000 for 8 people and was still hungry!! Better places in Telluride and MV to eat. Would go for a drink to enjoy ambience, but would skip dinner.

I would agree with the other reviews that the food quality/taste this year compared to last year has diminished - the food is simply just bland now. We use to come here a lot and rave about the baked chicken with the roasted vegetables because it was amazing, now the roasted chicken is blah. The elk tar tar use to be a standout dish, now it's just bland and missing flavor. The deviled eggs use to be amazing now they are just hard rubber. The fried rabbit is gone, etc. The drinks on the drink menu are not great anymore either and I had one of the worst drinks I've had last night - some gin cocktail.

Super disappointing. Came here a year ago and my rating would have been 5 stars, steaks were huge and sides were plentiful. This time around the 32 oz ribeye "for the table" they assured us would feed all 6 of us, the sides were enough for 2 people at most, came in tiny bowls rather than on the cutting board like the past. Steak was good but got about one bite each. Drinks are great.

In one word, Exceptional! Amazing experience. Boone was our waiter and we couldn’t have asked for better service.
