Rooms are small and very noisy. They have a restaurant right below or very close to your room. And a rooftop bar above you or very near your room. Also, an inside bar very close to rooms with loud patrons. Only 3 hangers for clothes, and no hooks or towel bar to hang your wet towels. Room are small! They informed use they were short handed and rooms would not get serviced. They do not have people on site, so if you have an issue in the evening, you wait for a response until morning. We left a day early as the noise level was to much. Plus, main street traffice was the final straw for us.
Over priced for what you get.
This is located right on Main Street, so a good jumping off point to stroll around town.
Room was fairly clean but not exceptional.
You are above a Thai restaurant (noisy from below until close and cleanup) and you are under the rooftop patio and bar- very noisy until close and cleanup are finished at around 10:30PM. So don’t plan on spending any time in your room to chill out undisturbed.
TV would not work for streaming either. We contacted management but no response from them.
Roof top bar and food was great. The views are worth it.
And they are remodeling the business next door right now so lots of construction noise and vibrations.
I wish I could give 6/5 stars, we could not have been happier with the location, the service and the room.
We stayed in the Memphis room and had the best time. The room was spotless and had excellent in-room heating/cooling with a great comfy bed and a lot of charming interior detail.
Service is not great I had to ask my server several times to get the check an to go box and napkins 2 different servers went up to me asked me if I need help and asked them about the stuff and never returned. They refused to get me some fried rice with shrimp because it was all the way down stairs- but literally got another table next to me exactly what I asked for. The sushi is very chewy I don’t recommend this place honestly.
Drinks on the rooftop 😊 beautiful views
Our room was gorgeous, easy check in and the location was superb!
I have never seen more disgusting hotel rooms!
Positives -
The room (lucky twenty) was really nice. Bed was comfortable, TV was an alright smart TV, air conditioning was good, and it was really nicely decorated. Really nice view from the two windows in the bedroom.
Bathroom too was lovely - very visually cool and again was decorated really cleanly and modern, whilst still maintaining a classic feel.
Coffee machine and tea/coffee selection was really good in the coffee room, and it was above a Thai restaurant (sounds like a negative but not - we got takeout and it was really good).
Negatives -
A few things went wrong for us with this stay however. The code that was provided to us for keyless entry was incorrect. There was no physical reception on-site. I messaged a couple of times to try and get the correct code - which was really frustrating and uncomfortable as we were stood in the busy lobby of the rooftop bar. Lots of people walking past, whilst we're trying to figure out how to get into our room. No response.
I ask the rooftop bar if I can use the phone behind the bar to call the number listed as the contact number. The rooftop bar (even though being called Imogene hotel and rooftop bar) has no connection to the hotel, and the hotel is seemingly operated by another hotel in the town. The guy behind the bar tells me that the line is really short on the phone and can't be stretched beyond the bar. I said that's okay, I can just come behind the bar and use it.
The guy refuses (which is just about the craziest thing) so I have to ask a random guy in the bar if I can borrow his phone to call the number. (I couldn't make calls because I have an international number).
Guy politely lets me use his phone, the number on the email directs me to Hotel Ouray - they recognise the mistake and give me the correct entry code for our room. We're in!
I find it really terrible that they gave me the wrong entry code, and there's nobody on-site to troubleshoot. Messaging through booking is basically useless because it takes them an insane amount of time to respond. But that's not my only concern...
The lobby being shared with a rooftop bar is pretty noisy, lots of footfall. The Imogene website says it's open Fri-Sun - but that's not right because it was open on weekdays.
The coffee room was also a communal space that you need to exit your room to get tea, coffee, ice or drinking water. A bit annoying and there's no mention of this in the booking.
The primary purpose of a hotel is to have a safe comfortable place to sleep outside of one’s primary place of residence. I, however, couldn’t do that because the heating decided to make annoying noises well into the evening. When I tried to message the property about it, I received no response. You can’t reach an actual person outside of normal hours on the number Google provides, so I messaged the person who messaged me from their personal phone about our stay earlier. Additionally, there are NO amenities available in the winter. The room and bare bones lobby with fireplace that’s not turned on is absolutely all you get. Additionally, the bedding is worse than any hotel I’ve stayed at recently (I’ve stayed at 4 others just this week, including some cheapie chains) - the comforter isn’t wide enough for the bed and the pillows get super flat. Don’t be fooled by the Instagram-ableness of it all - the lacking basic conveniences are not worth the money.
Super cool ,,, beautiful views

This place is absolutely wonderful. It is so pretty and the town is very nice. My girlfriend and I got engaged in one of the rooms and it was nice. There was a big storm outside snow blizzard and it was very cold and the bar lobby area and we tried to turn the fire on, but we could not figure out how to make the smoke go up the flu and the whole room got smoked out. I threw water on the fire to stop the smoke. This is the only reason that it gets four stars instead of five because we really want a fire and could not have it And there were no instructions on how to open the flute. You could not tell if it was open or closed.
Great experience! I stayed in the street-level room the Mountain Queen and it was cozy and comfortable. Close to all the best restaurants and got a great deal!
Rooms: Small but cozy.
Nearby activities: Bars and sauna!
Safety: I felt this area was very safe. Ouray is a small town.
Walkability: If you're planning to stay on Main and 8th, all of your food and drink needs are within walking distance. If you're looking for places to splurge on luxury items you'd have to drive a lot further.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Imogene Hotel. We came during off season, so ended up having the whole place to ourselves. The living room/lounge area by the bar was the perfect place to lounge with a cup of coffee that I made from their coffee bar. The Thai restaurant below and the Gold Belt bar and grill below and across the street were fantastic. Great service and good. Great location right on the main road with beautiful views from our room. I would highly recommend!
