Beny's Authentic Mexican Restaurant and Bar

Made a reservation over a week ago. Arrived 10 minutes early. Was told that they got really busy and that we would have to wait 15 minutes. Ended up being 45 minutes before we were seated. What was the point in making a reservation.

This isn’t Mexican food. It was a good try, but this isn’t it. The salsa that comes with the chips has almost an Italian taste…oregano-y. It’s not bad, but it’s not Mexican.
The flour tortillas were not homemade or even heated over an open flame to char them…they were removed from a bag and heated up. Again, not bad, but not Mexican. We had chicken fajitas for 2 and they weren’t very flavorful. The guacamole was more of a paste.
If I wasn’t wanting Mexican food, this may have hit the spot.
*Take it up a notch by making homemade guacamole (chunky) and homemade tortillas (or buy homemade ones and heat over open flame).
The waitress was very nice and polite. She was very attentive and she heard us tell our kids only one soda and when she came back and their drinks were empty, she asked “Would you like a water?” As a mama, I appreciated that so much!

THEY TAKE RESERVATIONS!! A bonus in Pagosa Springs when it comes to dining out!

We were looking to dine at other restaurants but they all had 2hour waits. Walked around for a bit and found this hole in the wall. The service was quick and friendly, the food was amazing and authentic, and the prices were reasonable. They had a wide variety of menu items that the entire family enjoyed. I would give 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend!

A must stop if in the area! Fast and incredible food and service. Hotsprings near by and great sking a short drive away at wolf creek.

My staff at Track Addicts SBR, Colorado Springs based trackbike rental CO will all return next trip down!!!

I'm vegan, and would come here again next time I'm in town. I ordered the vegetable burrito with no cheese, which came with rice and beans, and it was fantastic. The vegetable mix went together so well. I was raised on rice and beans, and the ones on the dish were the best I've had all year.

Vegetarian options: Just let the servers know, just in case

Great place 2 take the Family locally owned & operated. Owner Is a Wonderful Person, Friendly & alway'z in a good mood & happy. Clean establishment, food is Phenomenal & come'z @ a good price. Finding out My self it 1 of the better Mexican restaurant's 2 eat @. Highly Recommended.
