If you had asked me earlier this week where I’d be having Friday dinner, I had planned to be at a coastal favorite spot in Charleston, SC. Instead, a change of plans landed us in the charming little town of Paonia — and, much to my surprise, in the middle of what turned out to be a wonderful little foodie haven.

10/10 all the way around, Chef Joe does it again! We go as a family and are always welcomed warmly and get an excellent burger. The prawns are my husband’s favorite currently. The menu rotates weekly, so stop in regularly so you don’t miss your favorites! It is a great local spot and there’s food for everyone. Joe offers meat and seafood options. I absolutely loved my experience at Kiss Flower Restaurant! I loved the laid-back, relaxed atmosphere, it was exactly what I was looking for. The staff, especially Taylor and Sam, were outstanding, so friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

The Kissflower Bistro & Gallery is a hidden gem in rural Colorado, offering a magical foody experience in Paonia. The beautiful location features a menu with a wide range of options based on fresh, local produce. Guests loved the char burger with gigantic potato fries and a tasty bun, while deliciously crafted meat dishes also impressed. The atmosphere with the locals is wonderful, and the ambiance is magic, even with toddlers. Service can be slammed but the crew works hard to keep up table running service. Prices are high for take out, but the epic food and hospitality from Chef Joe and the crew make it the most poppin spot in Paonia. This place is truly magical—guests feel enlightened and transformed before the wonderfully crafted food arrives, calling it the best meal in Colorado.
