I got the 3 meat plate with brisket, ribs, and turkey with fried okra and potato salad as my sides and my wife got the rib plate with potato salad and coleslaw with some fried pickles. The ribs had good flavor and was very tender. The brisket was just ok, definitely better than Dickies. The turkey was incredible and I couldn't get enough of it. This was our first and last time here. While the service and atmosphere were great the food was just very mediocre. We both tried the brisket, turkey, pulled pork, sausage, baked beans, cole slaw, mac and cheese (Velveeta), fried okra and the roll. And the only thing that was good was the fried okra. The rest wasn't worth eating. I didn't eat most of the food and didn't even take it with me because it wasn't good. Dickies BBQ was better than this place. Sorry...
Only go if you’re elderly and have all night to sit around. Listen, GG’s is good people and I have been eating GG’s since it was coming out of a cooler at the gas station, but the wait time has gotten unbearable. Food is great and they have the best desserts in town but 38 MINUTES to scoop some premade BBQ onto a plate is outrageous.
