Service was fair but the food was just edible. Would like to suggest they start using some spices.

Very rude staff! Left after ordering food due to rudeness.

Papa Jose”s is the goto place for Mexican food at lunch.

Very good service and food. The green chile hits the spot.

The fountain pepsi drink had too much syrup and made me sick that I couldn't enjoy the food. Ordered Flautas, I was given tacos, they corrected the error but unfortunately could barely stomach one. Rice and Beans had good flavor as did the flaunts. The Tamale I ordered though, did not have flavor inside the masa or meat. The red sauce on top did not do it any justice. They were busy by 1130am and had a line. Seems like a popular spot in downtown Pueblo area. I'll give them a try again next time I'm there, but I'll skip the pepsi!

Best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Excellent service and great prices. The outdoor eating area is right on Union Avenue makes the dining experience that much better. Can’t be beat!

Food Was Great, TOO MANY FLIES...Next Time We'll Just Eat Outside; Less Flies.

An absolutely dreadful experience at Papa Joses Union Cafe Mexican Restaurant! It's incredibly frustrating when you're trying to have a meal with your family and are constantly swatting away flies – killing 11 yourself is just unbelievable. Wanting to leave but needing to feed your hungry kids and wife.
And then for the food to be so disappointing, even worse than a gas station sandwich, is truly a letdown. It's even more shocking that the manager still insisted you pay despite your feedback about the taste. I didn't refute, I just payed and left hungry and disgusted! I read reviews and thought it was a good spot! I was mistakenly wrong!

I absolutely love this place. One of the best restaurants in town. Their food is so amazing. Me and my family go quite often and always get the absolute best service. My husband and my son always get the chicken enchiladas and my daughter gets the chicken burritos. I always change my mind but no matter what I get it is always delicious. Chena and Danny are the best and always make appoint to come and talk to us. Only place I go for good and reasonably priced Mexican food. Also the portion sizes you get are great for the price you pay.

The food at this spot was absolutely delicious—so flavorful and yummy. The place itself is adorable, with a cozy, welcoming vibe. The only downside was that our waitress seemed a bit annoyed and kind of intimidating, which made things a little uncomfortable at times. That said, we still had a good time overall and would go back for the food and atmosphere alone!
