A historic location in downtown Salida, Colorado. I tried the Benson's Burger, $16. It was really just an average burger compared to the many I have eaten around the USA. I was here for lunch and was surprised by the number of dogs allowed into the restaurant. One dog was even off it's leash.
Joined a friend for a drink and was thrilled by the atmosphere. People sitting, relaxing, and enjoying some live music with jovial staff.
The food was excellent and the drinks were great. Wide variety of drafts. Good menu with excellent options. Definitely worth a stop in.

Had a nice time at Benson's. We stopped in for drinks and dinner and the service was great. No wait for a seat at 5PM either which is a plus. Good prices, nice selection across the board.
