They make great coffee in their own baked goods. Good Wi-Fi for meetings, several tables.

It was ok, but more of a place for the locals to come and get their drip coffee and socialize. I would it return to this place.

I haven't had a piece of cup of coffee since we left Texas. Been to Washington state and back and this is the 1st amazing cup of coffee and the almond twist is perfect with it..they grind fresh pot by pot ooo and the lemon poppy seed bread so yummy

Very good coffee. I had the caramel macchiato, which was just sweet enough and at perfect temperature. Greg had a latte and said it was perfect, and his slice of pie (berries of the woods?) was one of the best pies we've ever had... and that says a lot! I had an almond twist, and although it was very stale, it was still tasty. Very friendly service. Clean establishment with self-serve water and a good number of places to sit.

This is the best coffee shop I've ever been to. My fiance and I drove from Gunnison this Sunday for the sole purpose of getting this coffee. I am not a huge coffee fan but their coffee is so good it is scary how much I want to drink!

Brown Dog became my favorite coffee during my Colorado trip. It was so good, I bought two bags to go.

While it was certainly a go-to in years past for me, I think Brown Dog has sadly been left a little behind in the world of coffee—especially with the introduction of new players in town that are taking their coffee seriously. As the only larger roaster in town, they’re being shown up… even with a many years head-start. Specialty coffee moved into the “3rd wave” some years ago, and Brown Dog didn’t seem to make the jump. No hate intended… many will find a lot of comfort in what Brown Dog represents. I hope they do well. However, it is not my preferred style of coffee. Coffee is over-roasted, leaning into “traditional” over pushing into refinement.

Sometimes the whole is more than just the parts. There's actually nothing that unique or special about Brown Dog, the coffee and service are very good, the cinnamon roll was yummy, so why did they rate 5 stars? It's the vibe - casual, comfortable and possessing the kind of charm that only a 120 year old building can have. The same coffee and food in a shiny modern glass and wood store just wouldn't be the same. Plus - what's not to like about a brown dog?
