Very quaint coffee spot that serves warm pastries & sandwiches. Very sweet staff, good coffee, and relaxing atmosphere in the heart of downtown. The salty dog mocha latte will change your life. When we visited, we went daily (and will happily be back). Also of note - super cute t shirts and water bottles ?

cozy coffee spot, stopped in on my way to gunnison at 9 am. proceeded to be rudely greeted by a teenage girl. seemed very annoyed by my order. i ordered a large hot spiced chai. amazing chai, loved the lady working the machine. she was killing it. wish i would say the same about the other one.

Went in at a pretty busy time; friendly greeting and good service. Food and drinks came out in the order served. Didn’t really think they had lunch food, but they do. Had a good piece of quiche. Perfect for when you want a simple lunch.

This is my go-to coffee shop whenever I'm in Salida. I love to stop in after skiing at Monarch Mountain. I owned a coffee shop for 4 years in Michigan. So, I'm really picky. Today, I had a 20 oz extra hot breve latte with Caramel & White Mocha. It was delicious...and the service was great as well. I highly recommend!

We went twice on our vacation because it was so good. Excellent Service - there was a line both days but if you are patient it's worth the wait! I highly recommend the smothered breakfast burrito - very delicious and the green chili as a little kick but not too spicy.
We stop at Brown Dog nearly every time we travel through Salida. The salty dog iced latte is a fantastic choice and we have also loved their gingerbread latte!

Woke up at 7 from our condo across the street, barely awake, cold. Walked into Brown dog coffee and the barista was welcoming and ready to start my order. Had 3 delicious coffees in a carton tray in no time flat to walk back to my friends at the condo! Very happy travelsDietary restrictions: One friend ordered oat milk and the barista didn't bat an eye! It's great having dietary options.

Stopped here to check out the coffee and was drawn in by the pumpkin bread also. Nice quaint location with a delicious array of coffees. I recommend a stop here if your in town. The staff was also helpful and kind.
