The old guy who runs this place is an artist. Sometimes he goes home for supper and comes back a little late but at 82 years old, I can appreciate the passion in this ice cream. Would highly recommend this place.

This place is a Salida gem. Delicious homemade ice cream, cozy atmosphere indoors and out, wonderful owner, and a special treat for our puppy to boot! We will be returning next time we are in Salida!!!

Loved the ice cream here! Such a special place with the sweetest owner and a great Salida story. Don’t mind the reviews complaining about times they’re open. This isn’t a corporate shop and it’s an older gentleman. If you miss the time they’re open, check out the river to relax a little and try again next time. You won’t regret it!

Best ice cream ever! Wow, I was shocked when I tried their ice cream and it lived up to that claim. When I asked Richard, the owner, he took the time to give me the rundown on how he's able to make his ice cream so creamy and flavorful. Very pleasant guy, very clean shop and the best ice cream ever!

Two days in a row this place has an open sign with another saying “be back at 6:30”. It’s 7pm and there’s now one.
Was excited to try it. Door was unlock but then saw the closed sign. Guess that was a no go
Why are you always closed?? When are you actually open? Been trying to have your ice cream for months!
