I’m not a pizza fan but their other dishes are great. I’m an RVer who has spent many weeks and months in Salida area over’24 $ ‘25. One of the things that sets Pizza Rio apart is they have always made me feel welcome. Unfortunately I can’t say that of some other local spots so Pizza Rio is my ‘go to’ and hasn’t disappointed.

We showed up with 18 people. Luckily they could accommodate us. It was obvious they were getting slammed with delivery orders, and were short-staffed that night, and then we show up as a huge party. We tried to show a little understanding and patience. Top notch experience. The service was awesome and the food was great too.

Delicious pizza and a great view of the river. It did take a while to get the food even though it wasn't busy, but it was worth the wait

I recommend it 100%, the pizza is delicious, the dough is super thin which I loved and the sauce is delicious too!
We came for lunch, had a delish pizza and sat out on the patio! It was all fabulous. Will come back.

Great place to go in Salida. You walk up some stairs to get to the restaurant which has good views of the Arkansa river.
Pizza and Cesar salad were great. Four stars because the staff was nice but never even just refilled our water and the place/bathrooms are
fairly dirty

Excellent pasta in a relaxed mountain environment. Best eggplant parmigiana I’ve ever had! Go there.

Pretty good pizza. Preferences can pretty diverse for pizza so the dough is moderately thin, slightly chewy but not burnt. If your looking for a thick, soft doughy crust this isn't for you. The outdoor seating over the river is nice. The entrance could be difficult to find and the layout can be a little tight to get around, so not ideal for large groups but manageable.

Came through town last year and had pizza here - it was great. Came back into town today with my wife and went to Pizza Rio with high expectations. I’ve never been treated worse at a restaurant in my life. The guy who was supposed to seat us was apparently having a bad day and decided to take it out on us. He said he put us on the wait list and then ignored us and never seated us. We asked him and others several times when we would get a table. Had a drink at the bar and watched dozens of people come, eat and go. Waited well over an hour and still told no table for us even though several tables were sitting empty. So we settled our tab and walked out. Will never go back to this place again.
Totally recommend going to Pizza Rio! Our food, atmosphere, and experience were outstanding! We ordered the Salida Supreme 20” pizza highly recommend, it was totally worth it!! Loved the roasted garlics! To drink we had coke and a Whitewater Cowboy! The size of the 20” is perfect to share with four people. The roof top has a great view to the river!

Finally some decent pizza in Colorado!!! A sure bet. Fresh ingredients. Unique and traditional pizzas. Great deals on everything, however pizza was a little overpriced. Being from the east coast this was the best pizza I’ve had so far out west. A fantastic gem in salida

Great food, great view, but not great service. Server was nice, but hardly checked on us, and didn’t even bring us plates for pizza.
