Came through town last year and had pizza here - it was great. Came back into town today with my wife and went to Pizza Rio with high expectations. I’ve never been treated worse at a restaurant in my life. The guy who was supposed to seat us was apparently having a bad day and decided to take it out on us. He said he put us on the wait list and then ignored us and never seated us. We asked him and others several times when we would get a table. Had a drink at the bar and watched dozens of people come, eat and go. Waited well over an hour and still told no table for us even though several tables were sitting empty. So we settled our tab and walked out. Will never go back to this place again.
Amazing atmosphere and food
Best pizza I've had in a long time. Recommended.
When we first arrived there were several people in front of us. We were worried about how long we would have to wait because there isn't a lot of seating. We were pleasantly surprised with how quickly we were seated. The pizza is thin crust, NY style. It was delicious! Definitely recommend!
Enjoyed a delicious pizza on the patio with river views after a lovely day of activities. Surprisingly, the garden salad was really delicious and actually our favorite.
Pizza has gotten really good over time and we adore the fact they will deliver Italian food like a chicken parm with some spaghetti that is freaking awesome and I'm grateful to have this in town!!
This place blew me away. I love pizza and I have eaten some of the best pizza places in the country. I also make my own pizza and I am very picky. Good pizza is easy. Great pizza takes something completely different. This is great pizza. The crust is amazing. The topping combinations are great. They have everything from traditional topping options to more new school options. The salads were also great. The Caesar dressing is made in house and is the best I have ever had. I also make my own Caesar dressing.
We had a New Yorker which is just a classic cheese. The Salida supreme which was everything I love in a pizza. I especially love their use of natural casing pepperoni! The Paddler stole the show. It was such a great unique combination of flavors. I have personally put pear on a pizza before so I knew the potential. This pizza exceeded my expectations!!
I am sure the other pizza places in Salida are great but nothing beats exceptionally executed New York style pizza!!
Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, but I was not a fan. The pizza was so greasy....could barely eat one slice. The Cesar salad was good and the service was friendly and quick.
Good poo pizza at a reasonable price.... Good deal on cocktails during happy hour.
Amazing pizza!!!!

Pizza, including crust, were still great when we got home 3 days later! My dog was so mad that she didn't get more pizza crust. Chicken Parm is a pass...

The front of house service here is terrible. Went here with my wife and watched the staff fail to give multiple people, who ordered pick up, their pizzas, nearly all of them were sitting in a heater box, ready to go! Every, single time she said “6 minutes”. Then some who was clearly a friend of the business came in and all 4 of their pizzas were magically ready.
Our pie took a long time to come out and then sat under a heat lamp for 10-15 minutes. The waitress walked past it multiple times before we had to ask where our pie was. I understand being understaffed or busy, but until they can hire people who show initiative I won’t be headed back.
This place is classic Salida. A bunch of bratty 30-40 something’s who think work is beneath them and they’re above you. Pizza was good, service didn’t exist.

The pizza was very good. The view of the river and mountains just add to the enjoyment of a good pizza.
Parking: The parking lot across the river is really convenient.
