The front of house service here is terrible. Went here with my wife and watched the staff fail to give multiple people, who ordered pick up, their pizzas, nearly all of them were sitting in a heater box, ready to go! Every, single time she said “6 minutes”. Then some who was clearly a friend of the business came in and all 4 of their pizzas were magically ready.
Our pie took a long time to come out and then sat under a heat lamp for 10-15 minutes. The waitress walked past it multiple times before we had to ask where our pie was. I understand being understaffed or busy, but until they can hire people who show initiative I won’t be headed back.
This place is classic Salida. A bunch of bratty 30-40 something’s who think work is beneath them and they’re above you. Pizza was good, service didn’t exist.

Delicious discovery above the Boathouse that we were initially referred to. Glad we opted for Pizza, even if that is not what we ended up ordering. The Eggplant grinder was very likely the best I have ever had, along with the Telluride citrus and a view onto the river, made for a perfect afternoon.

Outstanding Private Party Experience!
We hosted a private party as part of our wedding at Pizza Rio and it was fantastic from start to finish. The service was beyond amazing the staff were kind, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Shout out to the waitress from Worcester, MA!!
The pizza was incredible and the back patio, with its stunning views overlooking the river, really cannot be beat. It made for the perfect setting. If you're looking for a great spot for a private event with exceptional food and service, Pizza Rio is the place to go!

Fantastic experience at Pizza Rio! The outdoor dining experience might be the best view and setting in all of Salida. Their patio is elevated and directly next to the Arkansas River, with incredible views of the river. The pizza was excellent, the service was solid, and the music selection was fitting. We will absolutely be back!

Difficult to find exceptional NY style thin crust pizza in many areas in Colorado. We decided to have lunch there after asking some locals for their recommendations. We are originally from the NY, NJ area but have been in Colorado for over 30 years. We ordered a 16 “ half pepperoni pie. We were not disappointed !! This was the best pizza we have had in a long time. We have a place in Castle Rock we frequent and it is very good but this experience was exceptional . The crust was thin and crispy. Pepperoni was generous !! Thank you Pizzario. !!!!

Great beer and pizza selections that you won't get in a lot of pizzerias. Unique selections that were excellent, served timely by a great, friendly wait staff with a fantastic view of the Arkansas River while you eat. We liked it so much, we ate there twice on our trip to south central Colorado in late August. Couldn't recommend Pizza Rio enough.
