I’m half Nicaraguan. Nica food is so hard to come by. We were hiking in the area and I wanted to show my boyfriend what Nica food was like.
We split the vigaron and salpicón. Portions are generous and fresh. Bonus was the jalapeño vinegar salsa,they should bottle it.
We’ll come back when we’re hiking in the area. They even sell paletas and flan too 😋

What a great restaurant!! We stopped on our way back to Denver, and had such a nice meal there. Everything was very tasty and the owner was so kind to us. I highly recommend going there!
We're a Nicaraguan family, and we've been having trouble finding authentic Nicaraguan food here in Colorado. We stumbled upon this place on Google Maps located out in Silverthorne, about an hour west from where we lived. We decided to make a day trip out of it and honestly it was very worth it and we're happy we did.

Momotombo is a wonderful hole-in-the-wall Nicaraguan taco joint located inside a thrift store door, right between Keystone and Breckenridge. The food is straightforward, lightly seasoned, incredibly delicioso, fresh, and made to order. Dishes like the lengua and beef cheek taco, Carne asada mixta, Quesabirria Tacos, Tacos al Pastor, Tacos Chiccharon, Menudo, and the carne asada burrito are all highly recommended. The staff is very nice, patient, and helpful, happy to accommodate any customization. It is an authentic and tasty spot for a delicious and filling meal after a long ski day.
