Limited daily menu. Our order was take away and was hot 30 minutes later when we began our meal. The homemade bread was delicious and the beef stew tasted just like my grandma's. The beef was tender!! The only negative is that the stew was a bit on the greasy side. However, I'd definitely go back and order it again!

Delicious, hearty soups and stews. New selections every day, plus a nice variety of options on the regular menu.

My Goto spot for damned good food. Jill always provides top notch service and the Habanero pork Stew is the best Ive ever had. Yummy but never seems to be a big enough portion for the price. If the portions were a bit bigger I would probably go there twice as much. No Apple Pay is also a bummer.

Best meal in Snowmass Village. The hardest part is deciding what to order. All of the soups, stews, salads and sandwiches are fantastic. Pay attention to the stew of the day too. Very friendly service and comfortable atmosphere.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian soups and salads

Veggie chili is made with beef broth! What a trap, I'm sure a lot of vegetarians have mistakenly ordered this. There was nothing vegan on the menu, I had to modify the middle eastern salad to remove cheese, and the waitress still didn't know if that was fully vegan. Everybody enjoyed their food though Updated from previous review on 2024-02-16

Restaurant in the Snowmass Mall area. Has stews and also sandwiches and salads on the menu. Went there on a weekday at 5-ish and the place wasn't busy. Has a small takeout area on the ground floor and a larger seating and bar area on the second floor accessed by some narrow spiral stairs. You can leave the 2nds floor to the outdoor stairs which are a bit easier to navigate if you are in ski boots. Got one of their specials for the day, a Guinness lamb stew. It's about $30, and size is in between their medium and large servings. It's a thick and hearty stew with some pieces of lamb and veggies over mashed potatoes. Tasted alright, but notoutstanding. I think I probably should have ordered their large beef stew for slightly more to get a bigger portion.

The Guinness lamb stew was worth every penny! There was a big hidden dollop of homemade mashed potatoes piled right in the middle, the lamb was great quality, and the BREAD was so fresh it tasted like it came out the oven about an hour ago!?

This is one of the most popular (and the oldest?) restaurants in Snowmass ...and also one of the most highly rated...so we had our first meal here. Located in this charming little Snowmass Mall, this restaurant was actually not so charming (sorry!)...but rather just basic and quaint in decor-ambiance. As their name implies, their specialty was the stew (and various soups?). Majority of the foods were very casual lunch type basics, like sandwiches. They also had some good combos. Anyway, I ordered their Ham & Brie Panini, and a cup of their Old Fashioned Beef Stew. My husband Caesar Salad, and a bowl of their Beef Stew. My son ordered Chicken Salad Sandwich, with Chips. Overall, I thought their foods were solid...but considering its price points, I expected a bit more. Guess I also expected more because this is Aspen...and I saw their high ratings and all the recommendations?? Think we all felt the same as we left. The foods were good, but just nothing too special. Still, it's a quintessential ski resort type foods, so we didn't regret checking them out.

Very friendly staff. Delicious stews, soups, sandwiches, and drinks.I tried the pastrami sandwich with a side of chips and a pickle. I also ordered a “Painkiller” frozen mixed drink with the optional floater. I believe dark rum. Both are very delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The establishment is clean, quaint, friendly, and has local artworks for sale.Highly recommend making a stop here during your time in Aspen Snowmass.Ask about the history of the building :)
