Very small and charming Indonesian restaurant - they also serve Thai and Indian/Nepalese food, as all Asian restaurants in Steamboat seem to be somewhat pan-Asian. The Indonesian food we ordered was authentic, well-spiced and delicious, but the food felt quite expensive for what it was ($30 for laksa, $24 for nasi goreng). Without any drinks, dinner for 3 came out to $120+ including tax and tip.

Not expecting to find good Indonesian food in Steamboat Springs but here we are. Singapore noodles are a must. Funky little dining area with wonderful vibes. Small seating area so get there early!Kid-friendliness: A little small and loud to bring kids that have trouble sitting through a dinner.

They charge you 18%-20% tips for group of 5 and below, or 30% for group of 6 and above. I've never seen this high of tips anywhere else. They service did not deserve the tips at all. Food is very overpriced. We had three people ordering 3 entrees and 1 appitizer totaling $145 we are not even full. Rediculously, they charge tips for to go orders. Only one time experience I would never come again!

1/5 stars - "Sumetera: A Wallet-Draining Adventure with a Side of Deception"Sumetera truly redefines the concept of fine dining with their 'luxuriously' overpriced menu and a delightful twist of mandatory tips for even just gazing at their tables. The art of upselling is taken to new heights here, where your wallet gets a workout before your taste buds do.But the fun doesn't stop at just overpaying for your meal. The staff, doubling as magicians, tantalizingly offer 'free' extra rice, only to pull a rabbit out of a hat by adding it to your bill. It's culinary theater at its finest! And if you're a fan of legal drama, you'll love the plot twist where mandatory tips are added to your to-go orders. Yes, you read that right. It's their special way of thanking you for the privilege of serving yourself. So, if your idea of a night out includes a game of 'Spot the Hidden Charge' and paying a premium for the privilege, Sumetera awaits with open arms and a ready cash register.#BankBreakingBites #TipTrap #DeceptiveDiningDelights

I see some of the bad reviews, I’ll admit, not always the best service. But the food is AMAZING! Love love love.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant due to unfair and excessive charges. The pricing was not transparent, and I felt like I was being taken advantage of. This was very upsetting and not what I expected.

Disappointing experience at the restaurant. The service was painfully slow, and to make matters worse, a mandatory 30% tip was added to the bill. The staff's attitude left much to be desired. Not recommended.

Amazing food. The place is small and a single chef, so it may take awhile to get your order, but the wait is well worth it. We loved everything about the place. The ambience was charming, the server was very nice and also efficient and most importantly, the food was wonderful.

While the food is good I picked up a large order and had 25% tacked onto my bill per their policy. I’m fine with tipping Togo orders but adding 25%-30% onto a to go order seems a bit excessive l. The place is a bit expensive to begin with. Get ready to overpay.

Stopped in with the family while visiting the town, everything was delicious and I'm going to try and recreate the Singapore noodles at home now. The matcha iced tea was apparently made in a new way, I found it incredibly strong and had to add a good mount of water to it would be my one note. Atmosphere inside is hole in the wall & cute, the server was extremely nice.

The vibe and aromas right when you walk in...The authentic flavorful food (martabak, nasi g, real indo spice)...The convenient location...This gem of a spot is well worth the visit. In fact we make a point out of targeting this place whenever we are in Steamboat
