The restaurant was a very beautiful place to visit and we came to the Ranch House with expectations of a fabulous meal.
Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with the food and service during our meal.
We started with a Caesar Salad and the Potato/Corn Chowder. Both of these looked great but did not have a great deal of flavor.
We ordered the $198 Wagyu Tasting for our main entree. It came with 3 different cuts of meat which we had to cook over a hot stone. None of the three meats had much flavor and the portion size was very small for a $198 entree. The hot stone was a nice presentation and worked well, but the overall flavor and tenderness of the Wagyu was not very good.
We had sides of Creamed Spinach and Yukon Potatoes. Both of these were presented well but again, lacked any sense of flavor. On the positive side, the portion size was generous, but we were again disappointed with the taste.
We skipped dessert because our expectation was that it would be disappointing after the rest of our meal.
We ordered a bottle of wine and the server poured our first glass, but after that we were on our own to refill ourselves. On a positive note, the wine list was extensive and quite impressive.
Overall, we were happy to have seen the restaurant and visited it, but we will not be going back again.

Dustyn our server was awesome, the pineapple Negroni to start couldn’t have been more balanced. The wine service was on point. The Waygu hot stone was out of this world.
We also had the potato puree along with the creamed spinach. Everything exceeded our expectations for the evening. Can’t wait to come back next year.

Food is excellent as expected but the highlight for us was the service. Ryan is a manager there and he was all over the place helping folks out. He served us at the bar and came to our table to see how things were going. It’s not a cheap experience but well worth it if you want to spend the money.

Food, service, and atmosphere was incredible! Don’t come expecting normal size portions, your meal will be small. But delicious!

We had dinner at Ranch House while staying at Devil's Thumb Ranch, and honestly, it was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. The atmosphere alone is worth mentioning — rustic, cozy, with huge windows that open up to mountain views. It felt warm and welcoming without trying too hard. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our server really knew the menu, made great recommendations, and had that perfect mix of being attentive without hovering. Everything flowed smoothly, and we never felt rushed or forgotten. The food is where it went from great to unforgettable. The highlight for all of us was the Wagyu Ribeye. Between the four of us, we've eaten at plenty of nice restaurants, but this steak stood out as the best any of us have ever had. Perfectly cooked, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and packed with flavor. It's the kind of steak you think about long after the meal is over. For sides, we shared the mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Both were excellent — simple, but done so well that they actually stood out on their own. They paired perfectly with the steak and rounded out the meal. Yes, it's a bit of a splurge, but between the food, the service, and the whole atmosphere, it felt absolutely worth it. If you're anywhere near Devil's Thumb Ranch, make a reservation. You won't regret it.
We have been dinning here for a number of years and the food, service and atmosphere is ALWAYS fabulous. One of our all time favorite places in Colorado.

Great restaurant, a hidden gem in the mountains near Tabernash. Definitely try their wagyu-washed old fashioned and their wagyu steaks. Probably most expensive steak I’ve had but oh so worth it.

Always a treat to visit The Ranch House. Great view, we even got to watch a Jewish wedding out in the yard. Bill our server was very informative about menu items and recommended choices. Food always interesting, great flavor and presentation. Was also less expensive than I remember in the past-- or maybe everywhere else has just gotten MORE expensive? Either way, well worth the trip to the restaurant. The Lemon sorbet for dessert was top notch and even better when it was complimentary as it was my husband's birthday that night! :)
Our dining experience at Ranch House was top notch. Our waiter, Ske, was also incredible! We will absolutely be back again.
Great service from Jeff and the ambience was very nice but food with mediocre and not worth the price
Always a treat for the gorgeous setting, capable, knowledgeable service and overall ambiance, and the food, of course Even for those of us who are not that keen on steak, it's a wonderful experience. The wagyu tartar and the trout terrine were terrific. Excellent wine as well.
