Our server Jonah and Justin were both very attentive and took care of our every need before we even asked. The food was fantastic - as always - we had the spicy cucumbers and melted beets as appetizer's and both were better than we expected. I got the wild game meatloaf and my husband ordered the halibut and those both were outstanding. The best part was finishing with the most decadent desserts - the peach rhubarb crisp and toffee pudding. It was a fantastic meal and we can't wait to go back. Thank you Tabernash Tavern!
I made my reservation and put a few comments about what room I wanted in and that it was an occasion. Upon arrival, the hostess at the desk had set up everything just great per my comments in my reservation our food was great. Our waiter was fabulous. ambience was very romantic, quiet and nice.
Wonderful experience as usual. The food has been top notch and our friends have loved the overall experience
Excellent meal and service. Best Cesar salad I've had. My husband had the onion soup, which looked and tasted amazing. The hardest part about dining at Tabernash Tavern is deciding what to order because there are so many mouth watering choices.
We've been driving by this place for years, but really didn't realize it was an upscale restaurant until I looked it up on an open table. We thought it was just a simple neighborhood Tavern. Anyway, we made reservations for Thursday night, and were seated immediately. Our server, Justin, was excellent. The menu had a very unique but diverse selection. The wine we wanted was not available, but Justin offered a replacement, and gave us a tasting to make sure we liked it. We both ordered the filet, and it was just average. Mine was very undercooked, inedible to me, which Justin acknowledged, but offered nothing to remedy the situation. I certainly didn't ask, but a dessert or drink ‘on the house' would certainly have been appreciated, especially after paying for a $60 steak. It's just proper etiquette, especially for a $250 meal. We also had the sautéed mushrooms (excellent) and the mud pie (also excellent!) Overall, we loved the rustic mountain decor, the menu selection & the romantic vibe. Would we visit again? Probably not, because it wasn't worth $250 for an average meal. Ruths' Chris is the same $$ for us, and excellent all around.
If you like overpriced, mediocre food this is your spot. Nestled in a beautiful location, they have a dining room that has almost no natural light or exposure to the view. There wasn’t a course we had where the waitress brought all of the correct items. I’m not talking about substitutions and complexity, I’m talking - we didn’t order calamari but we received calamari instead of wings. The food is serviceable, but not worth anything close to the listed prices. To top it all off, it appears either one if staff stole my jacket, or they allowed a customer to steal my jacket. Would avoid this establishment.
Best place in town!
We come up to YMCA of the Rockies every year and this is our yearly treat ! Food is always delicious and fresh. The menu is interesting and the cocktails to die for !

I've not anything but wonderful experiences at Tabernash Tavern. After considering the “Feliz” Carne Asada meal, I finally tried it - it was WONDERFUL!
Food and service always good at Tabernash Tavern. Interesting new items on menu and good cocktails.
Food was very high quality with inventive combinations. We loved the calamari and cucumber appetizers!
Great experience overall!!
We have always loved this restaurant and visit every time we come to Winter Park. This time we brought three friends with us and made a huge deal about it! Unfortunately they were underwhelmed. The service was super slow and our server was not friendly. It took about an hour to get our food and about 20 minutes just to pay our bill when we were done. Of the four meals we ordered (salmon, filet, ribeye & meatloaf) the only really 5 star meal was the meatloaf. Everything else was good, but not memorable as in the past. Needless to say, when we and our friends got the 5-star bill for a 3.5 star experience we were very disappointed and embarrassed as we KNOW how good this restaurant can be!
