“The service was excellent, but the food…hot and cold (NO pun intended). My black bean soup was excellent, and so was the salmon. In fact, the salmon was one of the best I’ve ever had. The Crispy Shrimp & Calamari, shared at the table, wasn’t really crispy at all. It had a tiny bit of sauce drizzled over it, but most pieces didn’t get touched by it, so you had to either ask for a side of dipping sauce (which we didn’t) or eat it plain. Also, there were hardly any shrimp in with the calamari. My Caesar Salad was awful. Before ordering, I confirmed that the dressing was made in house, but it was a tasteless, bland, cream colored, nondescript thin liquid, without a hint of garlic. I didn’t complain, but I tried my only other option of adding plenty of salt and pepper, which just didn’t help. We didn’t order dessert, so I can’t comment on that element. Overall, I think Cosmo’s is a very fine restaurant, but maybe we just didn’t choose well. I would certainly go back, but I would never order the Caesar again, and I would carefully discuss the calamari with the server before committing to it.“
“The ambience is great and feels like an upscale place. The service was also good. The food was a bit of disappointment. Some things were great - for example their bread and apps were delicious. But our entrees (rigatoni, half chicken, seafood pasta) didn’t reflect the price we paid. Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner but would say it’s not worth the high price tag.“
“Our server was informative and lovely. Service was a little slow, though. The hummus and baba ganoosh were really excellent, small portions - but delicious and reasonably priced. Our Cosmo and White Russian had a punch and were perfect! Some of the other prices were so high, they were laughable - like the $100 and $125 baked potatoes. That was memorable.“
“This place had the cleanest feel, the atmosphere was so inviting we wanted to stay longer than we should have, the service was the friendliest of all the places I have been in Ouray and Ridgway. And the Food OMG!!! Soooo good I wanted to try everything on the menu.“
“This is one of my first stops anytime I come to Telluride. Once you have visited you will understand why. This small but inviting establishment offers more than you can imagine. Looking for a wine to sip? A wonderful cocktail? A small bite to eat? Charcuterie to share? Great service and knowledgeable staff offers it all. Oullie and Dustin have created a great environment to relax in after a long day in town or on mountain. If in Mountain Village, this is a most stop spot for anyone looking for a great place to unwind!“
“I’ve been to the main Sauvage in Palisade, so was excited to see this in Ouray. It’s a great location and a nice space. They were busy for 4th of July weekend, but only had one person working. Regardless, she did a good job managing all the people and wine flight orders. My go-to is their frose!“
“This place is hard to get into but well worth the try. The hostess was awesome and fit us in. The food was amazing as always, and you can’t beat the atmosphere. I hesitate saying all of this because it’s already so hard to get into but it’s an annual favorite of ours. And the price really isn’t bad at all compared to Telluride in general. Cheers!“
“Truly a welcoming friendly cafe not only with the best London Tea I've had (delicious earl w/steam whole milk) but also savory pasties, I tired the match raspberry olive slice. It also connects to the local bookstore, such a treat when just wanting to cozy up with a good book or magazine.“
