Bully Ranch quickly became our absolute favorite restaurant in Vail — and we tried everything from the super trendy spots to the most expensive ones. The food here was amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Prices were also very reasonable compared to everything else we tried in town. We didn't repeat a single restaurant in Vail... except for Bully Ranch. That says it all! Highly recommend!
Just a great casual (but lovely) vibe - fantastic staff. Our server was Diego and he was exceptional. The truffle tots are heavenly - emotional even now just thinking about them... :) Try their pizzas, straight out of their huge oven, just so good. Will be back.
Everything was perfect from the Valet, to the Pregnant Hostess, to the fantastic waiter! I would definitely recommend and visit again!
Everyone was attentive & service was very welcoming. Great timing on food & friendly staff.
The reception desk was very friendly and welcoming. Our server was the best. He brought everything as ordered including all the extras. He checked back with us several times to make sure that we were satisfied and asked if we needed anything else. The food was outstanding. We ordered a pasta dish with lamb shank, which was delicious beyond words. Beautifully prepared and so savory. The ambience was lively with a good vibe. We went back today for lunch, which was excellent! Definitely on our list of favorites.
It was excellent! We come to Vail annually and always look forward to eating at Bully Ranch!
This is my favorite spot in Vail. Levi is a fantastic bartender. Every option on the menu is a win, but my goto is the Bison Short Rib Ragu
Solid spot, good burger, great bar area. Nothing blew me away, but very good food and atmosphere overall.
I had a pretty bad experience here when attempting to have a nice dinner with my family on 9/21/2025. Our server, John, told us multiple times to hurry up to order because he had other tables to greet. We were behaving normally for people on vacation. The restaurant was about half full. It’s fine to be busy/flustered, but nothing was done to rectify the blunder. For a restaurant at a luxury resort, this behavior was ridiculous. There was also 20% automatic gratuity applied for this rude and inefficient “service.”

Great food. I had berry salad and green chili boar soup. Delish! My server was excellent. Only gripe I have is with the parking ripoff. $45 to park for about an hour? Ridiculous. Thievery, but not reall Bully Ranch’s fault.

Steak was overpriced even for Vail given that this is basically a hamburger joint. Steak was so tough it nearly broke the knife. Brussels sprouts were not cooked and hard. In general, I wish I would've left and asked for a refund before eating such a horrible meal.
Food was good but not impressive. Some dishes were definitely better than others. Stand out flavors were the tator tots with truffles and the buffalo ragu pasta, though the pasta was too cooked for me...it was soft and not chewy or al dente. We went in Sept 2025. Our group was four adults and two 11 years old. The restaurant updated western Americana was cool. Really liked that the doors collapsed to have this indoor/outdoor combo space.
Waiter was inattentive and distracted. We had to ask for refills repeatedly. Took 15 after we sat down to get a drink order. We went ahead and placed our food order at that time because it took so long.
Chicken fajitas were okay. Ragu was excellent.
Need to improve service tremendously especially if Sonnenalp owns this restaurant.

Excellent outside dining under umbrellas because it rained....very neat experience! Our server was great....always nearby. Brussel sprouts very tasty and soups creamy just made for a late summer day. Bully Bourbon burger just had everything thrown into it and the glaze sauce not good....how about offering a simple cheeseburger with choice of condiments? Truffle nuggets big hit! Desert menu pretty meager....we choose ice cream around the corner. Chicken Pot Pie was a favorite choice until they removed it....also miss the fish and chips! Menu has gotten less appealing to us. Thx....
