Left Bank Restaurant Reviews
Left Bank was Vail's first iconic restaurant when my family visited Vail every year six decades ago. I haven't been back in a long time (back when Left Bank was cash only!). The classic French food and service are still absolutely top notch!
This is one of our favorite ail restaurants. The food service and atmosphere are incredible. We can never resist the best escargot and Dover sole this side of the Atlantic. They have a great wine list and fabulous bartender as well. We shared a delicious fresh Palisade peach tart for dessert. In Winter we usually go for the great soufflé. No matter the season this restaurant is tops.
In my opinion, this is far and away the best restaurant in the Vail Valley. The food, service and ambiance are off the charts. They have a huge menu of outstanding French delicacies. Your biggest problem is making a choice. We had a beautiful table by the window overlooking Gore Creek. We started by sharing the burrata special and ordered the sole meunière for two. The burrata was creamy and delicious. The sole entree came with a beautifully presented and tasty dinner salad....read full review

The Left Bank Restaurant in Vail has been a favorite among visitors for many years. The Lobster Bisque and French Onion Soup are excellent starters, and many customers believe there is not a better French onion soup in town. The whole Dover Sole for two is exquisite, and the seafood bouillabaisse is considered the best entree in the Valley. The staff provides a professional and unhurried dining experience, creating an elegant atmosphere, and they are noted for being wonderfully attentive and friendly. While the restaurant may be on the pricier side, the well-made and delicious food, along with the impressive wine list, make it a worthwhile choice. Many customers feel the restaurant deserves a Michelin recommendation, making it a perfect destination for special occasions and celebrations.
The restaurant has received positive reviews from recent customers, who have praised the delectable menu items and overall dining experience. Guests have enjoyed classic French dishes such as escargots, tartare de bœuf, and the Vol au Vent, which is a favorite for many. The selection of desserts, including peach cobbler, chocolate soufflé, and the amazing peach tart, are also highly recommended. The sommelier has been praised for their expertise in pairing the perfect wine with the meal, ensuring a delightful experience. Overall, The Left Bank is consistent in delivering outstanding food and service, making it a must-visit dining spot in Vail.
