The food is just not good.

Food was average at best especially considering the price. Service was extremely poor with the waiter seeming like this was the last place in the world that he wanted to be at. Elway’s needs new management and a better product if they want to stay in business.

Restaurant is overrated. Came here because of the name but would definitely not come again. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Cozy and romantic inside.

Tricky to find, upstairs in the Lodge, but a wonderful meal. We started with the artichokes and shrimp cocktail, had newyork Strip, and filet for main course with brussel sprouts and onion rings ( only thing we didn't love). We finished with key lime pie and classic ding dong cake. We were off season so there was little to no one there. Overall very nice meal.

Parking: Park at the vail lots of walk over from hotel.

Kid-friendliness: We saw another couple with children, they were enjoying the French fries.

This was my second visit to Elway's Vail. The first time everything was great, but the second time was disappointing. To start, our server was great, which made the dining/food tolerable. We started with the Grilled Artichoke for our appetizer. The artichoke was over seasoned and over cooked, the entire surface was overly charred. Each bite tasted bitter and burnt. All three of our salads were great. I ordered the 10oz filet coupled with the lobster tail and the others in our group ordered the 8oz filet. My lobster tail was overcooked which I had to send back. The replacement tail was better, but almost over cooked again which was a disappointing. Not sure why, but there was zero oversight by food runner and or kitchen manager checking plates before they are served. Additionally, the 10oz filet that I ordered was plated on a friend plate, not a big deal, but a detail that should have not been overlooked. Everyone's steaks were cooked to perfection. As for the sides, the Thai Basil Brussel Sprouts were okay. We also ordered the Truffle Fries from the appetizer section to complement the filets. The fries lacked flavor, had zero truffle flavor that came across my palate, and the fries did not come out hot, lukewarm at best.

Firstly, I just want to say opentable SUCKS. The log in process is completely ridiculous. Secondly and most importantly, we had the most amazing experience. We went to Elways for our wedding dinner and we have not stopped talking about our meal. Firstly, our waitress was amazing. I'm so sorry I don't remember her name, but she was just exceptional! We were surprised with champagne and cake for our celebration it was so amazing. The steak was wonderful. We ordered it medium, it was a good medium, but got close to a well towards the end but it was still delicious. Thank you for making our wedding day more memorable. :)

We booked this reservation for a 33rd anniversary. Our waitresses was very attentive to that and brought us two glasses of champagne and dessert when we were done. Outstanding service.

Service was terrible. Waited 30 min. With dirty dishes for bill. The dished out coffee like it was gold. Had to beg for refills. Ordered 10 Oz filet. Got 8 Oz. Stay away. Go to Ruth Chris.

What an amazing steakhouse. My first in my Colorado and definitely won’t be my last.

Steak was great and the in house sommelier was a divine touch .

Even saw our first bear after eating here. Must’ve known good food.

We were given a gift card and ask the hostess to confirm the balance, she was unable to locate or confirm and said “ huh! I can’t find it and said I should try to find it online?” Why can’t the restaurant find the card ? I went online and was not able to locate the card number and E number . It’s like it never existed, Yet I have a Elway's card and number . The card says it does not expire until the amount is used up .
Would like some answer to why my card is invisible?

Our cocktails and wine selections were excellent. The calamari appetizer was very tough and overcooked. The Caesar salad and Wedge salads were excellent. The salmon and halibut entrees were delicious. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and very helpful. There was a private party going on in our section of the outdoor dining area which is normally quiet and beautiful. It was unfortunately extremely noisy last night. The dessert selections were excellent, but we were too full to try them.

Me fue muy mal en la cena

We have been to Elway's dozens of times, mostly to Cherry Creek, a few times Downtown Denver, and serveral times at the airport. This was out first time to the Elway's in Vail, and it will be our last time to the one in Vail. The service was terrible, about 10 minutes to get water, another 15 minutes to get a cocktail. I ordered a filet with peppercorn sauce, and a couple of sides. I ordered my steak medium-plus. The server asked if we had any allergies, I said yes to mushrooms and shellfish for my wife. When the meal was finally served, my steak was somewhere between cool and lukewarm. It came out without the peppercorn sauce. Halfway through my steak (I didn't want to wait to eat it because it was already cool), I got the server's attention and asked about the peppercorn sauce. She said there might be mushroom contamination, so they didn't put it on the steak. No mention until I asked where it was. That's when I was told the sauce may contain some mushrooms, not when I ordered it, not before the steak came out, so that I could make a different choice, only after my lukewarm steak was served and after I finally got the server's attention. The sides were very good. Not the service or the food quality that I have come to expect from Elway's, or anywhere else I spend $300 for a dinner for two. We eat out at least twice each week, almost always to very nice restaurants. We will never go back to Elway's at Vail.
