6 of us were tucked into a niche behind a round bar height table of 5 people yelling and laughing so we could hardly talk to each other. We tried to be reseated but no luck. Restaurants need to say something to tables who are so loud that it negatively affects other diners. Too many inconsiderate diners and drinkers are ruining the dining experience and it is likely costing the restaurants business too.
We have eaten at La Bodega for 25 yrs....I'm not sure why! The food is fine, the service is excellent and the new decor gives a fresh, crisp look! There is just something missing...maybe a specialty dish or more variety in the menu....like more fish dishes. Overall we really like it for solid, reasonably priced(for Vail Village) dining. The bread is worth paying for(which you do) and the Carbonara is fine....the white bean soup is worldclass but only served in winter(?)....

However, the portion size was… Disappointing… I’m not a very big person, but was still starving after I finished the meal. Which, for the price is not something I’d have expected.
Food really was delicious. Maybe it’s because we got it to go. But, my serving size was almost half that of the gluten meal the other person in...
