I was really looking forward to a French dining experience only to be disappointed by the strange flavor profiles of both of our entrees. Wine selection although taunted as award winning was highly picked over. French onion soup was tasty and the escargot was good. Deserts presentation although nice was highly unnecessary....Who flambés crème brûlée?

Wow, what happened to La Tour? This was one of our favorite restaurants in Vail and we have been coming here for many years. Our most recent visit was very disappointing, enough so that we have been suspicious that the restaurant is closing or planning some other significant change. The owners and/or managers certainly seem to have lost interest and care for its current manifestation. Our service was inexperienced at best, neglectful and amateurish at worst. These staff members need some serious (re)training. The food was just so-so, with some good dishes like the salmon, scallops and some not so good like the steak and duck. Granted, this is Vail, but for these outrageous prices, we should reasonably expect a great meal with excellent service. Sadly, we will not be back.

Oysters and shrimp cocktail were OK. Cold corn soup was very good. Dover sole Meunière was breaded, had no lemon sauce, tough, old and not edible. My wife did not eat it. The black cod was not fresh and did not taste good. My adult son choked while eating his scallops, left the table in order to cough up a piece of plastic that was roughly 1 inch long and 3/8 inch wide.

La Tour is our favorite restaurant in Vail for a special family dinner. We go there on anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays. We went last night to celebrate Father's Day. As always, the staff was welcoming, kind, and caring -- including the busperson, our waiter, and the owners, who personally greeted us. The atmosphere is lovely. The food was excellent and obviously prepared with lots of care. We highly recommend La Tour.

I thought it was a fancy restaurant, but it doesn't seem like it. Food was nice, we had the escargot, very good. The filet mignon was nice, mushrooms delicious, but the croquettes were very soggy. Wine selection was decent.

Faux sophistication. Tasteless oysters, probably previously frozen, overcooked chicken cutlets, and overcooked and poorly plated $75 Dover sole.

Perhaps La Tour was just having an off night on food. The “warm olive” appetizer was cold, the “bread service” mediocre, and the dessert (profiteroles) tough with chocolate sauce that tasted like it came from a jar. But the entree was quite good, and saved the meal!

I can't come to Vail without having dinner at La Tour. It's hands down one of my favorite restaurants here. Every visit is consistently excellent—the food is always delicious and the service is spot on. The menu offers a perfect balance of classic dishes and creative preparations, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can really feel the care and consistency in every detail. If you're in Vail, La Tour is a must for anyone who loves great food.

Attentive, friendly service and nicely flavored food. Can't beat the French onion soup here! Bartenders drinks were great as well. Great experience! We will be back.

Too expensive. Overrated. Plenty of empty tables while we were denied reservations at the time we requested. Poor choice.

Muy buena y servicial la atención del mesonero Gustavo. Recomendado 100% . La sopa de cebolla muy buena y segundo plato el pato crunchy. El postre no fue al mismo nivel que los platos anteriores pero aceptable.

One of our long time favorites in Vail. We were not disappointed on our most recent return visit. The entire evening was top notch. All our plates were delicious. Food and wine service were first rate. Wine list was extensive and fairly priced. Another memorable dining experience at LT!

We got horrible service by one of the waitresses that helped bring food out. She was very rude and her facial expressions and body language were horrible. We had 3 people with Celiacc disease (100% Gluten Free) in our party and they brought the food with gluten in it (sauces, crumbs, waffle cones, etc). When I pointed out I ordered the stuff GF and without any garnishes, etc, she went around the corner and tried to take out a waffle cone from one of the plates and brought it back. We saw her and sent the dish back. Our main waiter was nice but he also brought our orders wrong. The place was extremely hot, and it was very uncomfortable.
