We waited for the hostess for several minutes. The prime rib was overcooked and lacking in flavor. The trout lacked flavor as well. Very disappointing.
My boyfriend and I went to Lancelot for our anniversary. We sat outside and had the absolute best time. Linda was amazing!
Pricey restaurant but then again it's in the Vail Village. Not a place I would visit often.
We went for our anniversary meal and our waitress Lynda was friendly, attentive and made us feel like VIPs. Food was great! Thank you!
Highly recommend. The prime rib was outstanding. Nice atmosphere and service was top notch.
Extremely pleased with the meal. We shared Beet Salad and bread/butter. (I remember when rolls were complementary opening for all evening meals.) The red vinaigrette dressing for the salad retained the flavor of both arugula and beats. Main course of Prime Rib of Beef and Colorado Trout were cooked to slow perfection. Side order of beans and blistered tomatoes was heavy on the beans and quite sparing on the tomatoes. Our waiter, Ken, was juggling too many tables. We waited for the bill long after the process of digestion had begun. We were imbued and enveloped in a blanket of calm during and after the meal...happy to be there and looking forward to return on our next visit to Vail.
We had a wonderful dinner at Lancelot. We chose the restaurant based on reports that it was a Vail institution. Service and food were very good. In particular, the dishes are much lighter than their description. Definitely in the "comfort food" family, but excellently prepared with fresh ingredients. Definitely worth checking out.
After traveling to Vail for 25+ years, we finally took the time to eat at Lancelot. Food was incredible and we only wish we would have eaten here sooner. Will definitely be back!
We have been coming to The Lancelot every time we visit Vail, since the early 70's. The prime rib is simply outstanding and highly recommended.
The waiting team and food is good. The host is a different story she is mean and petty not good for families. I would not recommend this place just because of her.

Love this restaurant. The family has been going here for years. The food, staff, owner are always attentive to our needs. The prime rib is excellent. Try the escargot as a appetizer. You will love it. This restaurant is our must eat place every year we come to Vail. And, that dates back to the late 60s. We always request Ken to be our server. We have a special relationship. When Vail shut down at the beginning of COVAD we were his last table before the restaurant closed due to COVID
Our family has been going to Vail for over 20 years, all the times we walked by this restaurant and did not go because no one recommended it. On our most recent visit we decided to give it a try. Bottom line, we have been missing out an outstanding restaurant in Vail. In fact, this is our new favorite restaurant. The hostess gave us a warm welcome and we were promptly seated. Our server was a seasoned gentlemen that was a professional and made our experience wonderful. We started with Escargot and a Spinach salad. Both were great. For entrees we all got prime rib that was outstanding!! In many prime rib restaurants by the time the steak reaches your table it is just warm and halfway through eating it's cold. This was not the case at Lancelot, the Prime Rib was steaming hot and with a warm plate it stayed hot through the last bite. A perfectly cooked baked potato rounded out the plate. The dining room is a cozy place with numerous windows. We enjoyed every minute of our time at Lancelot and look forward to returning soon.
Tasty. The Prime Rib was so tender.

Delicious food. Beautifully presented. Fire alarm started screeching and flashing during meal and the staff ignored it. The screeching and flashing lasted 20 minutes! Manager and staff did not announce if guests should evacuate or remain. When we asked waitress what was going on she said she did not know. So the alarm with ear piercing noise ruined the evening and there was no apology or explanation from management to guests.
