Our family of four went to Ludwig's during our ski trip last year and again this year. All the dishes we've ordered both times (who were quite different) have been creative, delicious and beautifully arranged. The service is impeccable. We also enjoy the quiet atmosphere.

Ate at Ludwig's in the Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail and it was unreal. The food was incredible — the Dover sole deboned tableside was a standout, and the apple and celery root soup was so good. Desserts were next-level too, finishing with cotton candy and homemade chocolates. Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had and we have eaten at all of the Vail restaurants. We would go back to Ludwigs before any other!

Had a large party. Service was impeccable, food delicious and great ambiance. The cotton candy at the end of the meal is a signature nice touch.

Ludwig's did a beautiful job for dinner! My friend and I split the Dover sole and it was great - and very fairly priced! Definitely a lovely evening!

Fabulous dinner! Our waiter was outstanding and all of our meals exceeded our expectations! We jokingly told our waiter that our adult children were sad they didn't get the cotton candy dessert...he enthusiastically brought out 2 gorgeous servings that the big kids thoroughly enjoyed.

Trekked all the way here on my birthday only to be turned down because we weren’t guests of the hotel. They told us we could wait 20 min…. 45-50 min later they told us they weren’t sure when they could seat us.

Was not thrilled with our experience at all. We tried to cancel our reservation ahead of time bc we were exhausted from skiing all day but were told no as we would be charged $200 if we did. So we got ready and went. It took close to 2 hours to get our dinner. All the food kept getting cooked and went straight to the bar area instead of the restaurant. The kitchen seemed very overwhelmed so why didn't they just let us cancel to begin with so they could deal with the customers they had? Our waiter Tony was lovely and the food was good once we finally got it but by that time we weren't really interested in eating anymore. My suggestion would be to serve your restaurant patrons with reservations first and then move on to the bar area.
