We celebrated our 12th anniversary at Makoto and we couldn't be happier with our choice! The Tonkatsu was incredibly tasty and tender, with a delightful twist of truffle that elevated the dish. The toro maki was equally delicious. However, the highlight of our evening was the exceptional hospitality and service provided by Dani and Hiro. They truly made our night special! We spent multiple wonderful hours there, savoring the food, enjoying the mountain views, and soaking in the great atmosphere. Thank you so much for making our night unforgettable.

We had such great dinner. Our server Dani was great! Our food was wonderful. We had the tuna and crispy rice which was great. We had several of the rolls which were all amazing. One of the best California rolls we have had. The real crab makes it. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the hot bowl added a nice crispiness to them. Highly recommend!!

Love everything about this restaurant. This is my 4th time here! We get the chicken potstickers and the noodles with shredded beef. Enough for 3 to 4 people . Dessert was peach soft ice cream with nuts and caramel. Everything delicious

One of the top 3 meals I've ever had. Tonight was a Dom Perignon feature night. Our waiter, Jason, was fantastic and so knowledgeable of the menu and special features. The meal was excellent!!! Every course was wonderful!!! The manager was really friendly and helpful too! Could not of been a more special night to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday! Everyone went the extra mile out of their way and I'm forever grateful! A night to remember! Thank you Makoto and the staff as well as the Dom Perignon team for making such a magical night!

What a lovely dining experience, very attentive staff and the food was absolutely amazing! The drinks were very well crafted. We sat outside and they had closed the outside patio windows and the climate was perfectly controlled. It's a great venue and impressive space.

My husband and I had a really nice dinner on their deck, with excellent service, tasty cocktails, and delicious food. The service was excellent, and our food was extremely fresh. My sushi was so fresh that it was almost falling apart. The food was beautifully presented, too. We highly recommend the crispy brussels sprouts as an appetizer!

Food was outstanding as usual. However, the service was awful. I had to call the manager over who was already intervening with two other tables. I advised him we felt like we were being ignored. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks, with the excuse the bar tender was also serving tables. That should never happen at a place that busy (and I don't necessarily believe the statement anyway). The table next to us was seated 15 minutes after us, and by the time we received our first appetizer they were eating their main course. When I asked the manager to get engaged, he took our main course order as our server was nowhere to be found. I am also disappointed the manager didn't offer to at least buy us a drink. For the amount of money they command the service should be commensurate with the food value. We don't know if we'll go back after last night's experience.

Service for a restaurant at this price point was very disappointing. It took half way through dinner to get our drinks, water glasses were not kept full and it took a long time to get our food. Also the waiter did not explain portions so we way over ordered.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a getaway from the Midwest and dined at Makoto during our stay. It was nothing short of great. Our server Migmar was gracious and attentive and gave us great recommendations. His suggestions for starters were amazing. Our sushi was delicious and fresh. Our wagyu was the highlight. It was a tremendous experience all around. Being able to walk out of the restaurant and take a stroll along Gore Creek in the shadow of the mountains just rounded out the whole ordeal. We will decidedly be back!
