We were on way to denver from our road trip from san fransisco ca. We were super hungry on our last leg of our road trip. Ordered soup, pizza, spaghetti. All items were good. Vail is a pretty town after the driving through endless mountains. We chose pazzos pizzeria for vegetarian options and were happy to get authentic Italian food.

Tried to eat here twice. 1st time ordered the Sicilian. Cheese was not even melted even though crust was burnt.
Decided to give it a 2nd try. Would not sit us at first because one kid was standing outside. Sat down. Waited over 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us at the table.
Finally got up and walked out.

Great service and food. Had soup, breadsticks, beer and ordered a pizza. Everything was phenomenal. Zero complaints. Azteca was one of the best I've had.
We stopped here for lunch and each got one of their subs (eggplant parm and chicken parm). The portions were quite large and plenty to eat. They were also very tasty. Our server was friendly and attentive but didn't hover over us. Generally the restaurant was clean, however there were nooks and crannies in the bench seats that really needed a good cleaning as they were filled with crumbs. Additionally, the bathroom toilet was not working about to overflow. When I made the staff aware, they told me I needed to hold down the handle longer to flush. When I explained I had already tried that but the toilet was going to start spilling over (clearly other people had tried to deal with this before I even walked into the bathroom) they said they would look into it. About 30 minutes later, I asked the same staff member if the bathroom had been fixed yet and she assured me it had. I walked in and it was not overflowing and clearly hadn't been addressed. Even though the food was good, this bathroom issue leaves me wondering how well they maintain and clean some of their facilities and might prevent me from going back in the future.

Our server then came over and told us to move to the bar if we wanted to order. At this point we decided they weren’t interested in our business and walked out. Typical service from an establishment that doesn’t feel they have to earn anyone’s business just because they’re in Vail village.
