Spent New Years Eve at Slope Room. I was say the experience was ok. Some of the food items were great, some were good but they were all room temperature (at best) and the soup was cold. Best thing we had was the cornbread and dessert, the meal was just ok. Its Vail, everything is expensive (especially on New Years Eve) but I want to get value for what I paid for. Would come back and give it another chance.

Jacky, the waitress was one of the best I’ve ever had, pure service, knowledge, smiles every time. Unfortunately the meat quality that they serve is no good. The have an “American Wagyu” that is barely Prime. To bad that there’s not a Beef Testing kit, there’s nothing one can do to prove that but I you know, you know. My wife and kid ordered Filet Mignon and it very hard to cut with the knife they give you.

We tried several notable spots in Vail this year - including Sweet Basil, The Four Seasons spot, Chasing Rabbits - and the Slope Room came out on top. Lovely corn bread to start, followed by delicious Hamachi Crudo, and the short rib and chicken were both excellent. Would definitely come back!

While it overall looks very very stellar, all the food was good, not great. We couldn’t understand the waiter for a good bit and had to have them repeat multiple times. The lighting was way too too low, we’re in our late 20s and couldn’t read the menu. Service overall was great.
Cornbread was delicious, worth sharing with the table. The butter made it pop.
Cesar was disappointing, lots of mixture of greens almost like a garden salad, lots of fresh parmesan but the sauce was not only lacking in amount, but also in flavor of anchovies and creaminess.
Butternut squash soup was decadent, rich, and flavorful. Nothing super special. Over priced for a small bowl of soup.
The elk loin was perfectly cooked, had a decent salt level though slightly lacking. The presentation made this dish a 3.5/5. The peppers were not spicy so gave it a good char flavor to eat with the loin. Would suggest a sauce smear, or spreading the peppers. We were shocked when this hit the table, for $65.
The trout was delicious!! Perfectly deboned, great crispy on the skin while still flaky and buttery filet. Very fresh accoutrements. the sauce the sauce the sauce was absolutely amazingly paired. Very filling, but light!
The short rib was pull apart soft. Great portion size, sauce was delicious.
The mac and cheese is a MUST order. Great creaminess, truffle was not over powering. Big mac noodles.
The Yukon potatoes were delicious, surprisingly a slightly earthiness compared to regular mashed, loved the butteriness and absolutely smooth.

The Slope Room is a must try while in Vail. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful decor that feels both modern and cozy. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable and relaxed.
The food is amazing - everything we tried was absolutely delicious, made with high-quality ingredientes and beautifully presented.
The service was excellent. The staff was friendly, helpful, and checked on us just the right amount. They made the whole experience even better.

Food was outstanding, great cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend trying this place. Can't wait to go back!
Our party of three had reservations for the special Thanksgiving 3-course meal. I had the Hamachi crud salad, rainbow trout and apple crisp. I'm not a fan of turkey. All of my courses were fantastic. I think my friends were reminded that they're not that crazy about turkey either but that is what they ordered. We shared dessert so I got to taste the pumpkin cream brûlée and pecan tart as well. I like my apple crisp the best but others were solid. Everyone of the staff was incredibly pleasant. Our reservations were at 2pm & it was nice to have a quiet time when we didn't have to yell to hear each other.
Our server Jackie was awesome and they were really accommodating with our dietary restrictions. Food was delicious and it was a very enjoyable evening
We had such an awesome meal tonight, and it’s not just about the food. It was perfect!
Wash course was awesome; a salad with sugar bruleed blue cheese, followed by perfect peppered encrusted elk loin, and sides of Mac and cheese and also mashed potatoes.
We are visiting from out of town, and out of 3 trips and probably 12 places to eat between Beaver Creek and Vail, this is our favorite.
Great romantic venue, food, and hats off to an awesome waitress, Jackie!
She was fun and very knowledgeable!

The off-season special for a 3 course meal is always a winner. They have new, creative dishes each season. Well-executed in a beautiful setting. Our server, Alex was wonderful.
