The food was slightly above average, but I’m a hard sell when it comes to good food. The ambience was ok. I can deal with subpar food but the reason I’m here leaving this review is because my waiter came back to my table and said he rarely gets tipped less than at least 20% and wanted to know why I chose not to tip him more. I was so appalled and shocked I just told him all was fine and continued to finish my wine and dessert.

Meet a friend for dinner. The Beef Tatar was fab. Best appetizer. Cornbread a good second choice. Lamb Ragu a must try.

Beautiful venue, attentive service, delicious food. Love the ambiance and art work in the main dining room. The dessert was a work of art and tasty. All the dishes were well executed.

The Slope Room offers an incredible dining experience! From the amazing drinks to the perfectly prepared dishes like the delicious trout and sweet potato fries, everything was top-notch. The service was fast and attentive—our waiter even turned down the fireplace when we mentioned we were a bit warm, which added to the comfort of the evening. Fine dining with a personal touch. Highly recommend!

A warning for folks who use wheelchairs, are mobility impaired, or have kids in a stroller.

This building does the bare minimum for accessibility for mobility impaired people and is not accessible if you want to use a stroller.

They have an elevator, but it is ONLY for ADA use. That's fine I suppose. I'm sure they have their reasons, though it is a pain if you don't want to leave a stroller outside and carry your kid in.

What *isn't* okay is that it requires a staff person to operate and yet it doesn't appear to be staffed. Unless a staff person happens by someone who uses a wheelchair would have no way of actually using the elevator.

The restraunt is located inside the hotel which is nice. We were a group of ten. We had drinks and appetizers. I feel like we had great service when we first got there then it got busy and we were on our own. I had to leave our table to find someone to bring salt and pepper. This is an expensive restaurant and the food was good not great. They boast about their steak but it is bland with no seasoning and not sure if they have a new person grilling steaks but they are not cooked properly. We asked for med and it was rare. Someone at our table asked for well done it was medium. We had to send it back 3 times. The waiter should have stood there when she cut through it the first time it was sent back. Instead we waited till he served others on the other side of the restaurant. He did take care of it at the end but this shouldn’t happen for an $78 steak. I don’t think I would spend the money here. There are so many good restaurants in Vail.

I had the best meal at the Slope Room that I've had in a long time, maybe ever. The trout and leek puree were wonderful, with a side of the delicious zucchini. We were waited on by the friendly waiter, sommelier, and bartender. We felt well taken care of, without it being too much. When they found out it was my birthday, they presented me with the orange olive oil cake and fresh berries on a plate that had Happy Birthday written beautifully in chocolate with sprinkles, and a candle. It was almost to nice to eat, but we devoured it. So delicious. What a wonderful birthday dinner memory. I highly recommend the Slope Room.

They accommodated our early arrival and provided great attentive service throughout. They turned down the volume of the music a little at our request and it was a perfect noise level. Food was fantastic and prompt. Nothing negative to say.

It was ok. The waiter was not knowledgeable about the food which led to some disappointment with the food. After we got our food we received no more service and had to ask the hostess to take care of giving us our bill and splitting our bill since the waiter had not done it by couple as requested. There are lots of great places to eat in Vail, I would not visit this one again.

Small menu, food was good. Portions were medium sized. Drinks were skimpy. waiter quite attentive. At those prices, white tablecloth would be a nice touch. Overall a pleasant experience.

Very friendly service with excellent food. Wine Wednesday was a pleasant surprise. The seasonal crisp featured Palisades peaches and was a real treat.

The moment we walked in we were greeted by a smiling and attentive hostess who acknowledged our "special occasion". Our server was incredibly knowledgeable with regards to the cocktails & menu. The food was delicious. Flawless. The ambiance is perfect. We weren't rushed through our courses in an attempt to turn the table. The tables aren't shoved together to squeeze in more people to drive more revenue. We retired to the bar for after dinner drinks & found a new favorite amaro from the welcoming & knowledgeable bartender. Thank you for a beautiful and fulfilling anniversary dinner. Excellence.
