After a year away, we returned to The Slope Room for dinner, and I'm thrilled to report it exceeded even my fond memories. This Vail gem has solidified its place as my top dining choice in the area. We began with the burrata and stone fruit salad—a perfect balance of creamy richness and bright, seasonal flavors that showcased exceptional ingredient quality. The cornbread proved irresistible (so much for the diet!), with a texture and flavor that had us savoring every bite....
The meals were good. I had the Chelan Seabass, which was excellent. My wife had the scallop and shrimp fettuccine with the sauce. At the beginning, the waitress told us or asked us if we had any food allergies I said yes I'm allergic to turmeric. She wasn't sure if any of the dishes had them, but would check. She came back and said it was saffron. We found out after that. It was turmeric. It was a good thing that I didn't need it or they would be on the hook for...
From the moment we walked in tonight we felt welcomed and important. Our server Jackie had exquisite menu knowledge. She also held conversation like a pro. I would return just to have her be our server again. The food was phenomenal and very unique. I'm already planning my next visit. Thank you guys!
