We stopped by the Fitz Bar + Bites after the concert at the amphitheater. They (Vail) were also hosting the Jazz Festival so they had an exceptional jazz improv going on. We snacked on cheese bites and other munchies while enjoyed the outstanding music. What a phenomenal weekend of talent, music and food.
We arrived before 5pm, but stood there for 10 minutes while the manager/hostess dealt w someone on the phone. One of several waitpersons who were milling about at the bar finally seated us. We were not offered happy hour pricing, did not get credit for booking on open table and all 3 entrees were mediocre at best. It's time to renovate the outdoor seating area........the carpet is disgusting. This used to be a wonderful spot, always loved the trout and the hand-cut fries....those...
I have eaten here over the years before our after Bravo concerts. I would go mostly for the convenience rather than anything else. This year things have changed dramatically. The food is very good with a nice selection. The service was excellent. The have music outside on the deck. Over all very enjoyable experience.
