It's been a while since I've had any green chile from Walsenburg. Moved away years ago, and although I make a pretty mean batch myself, this was about as good as it gets. I even had them freeze a couple quarts that I picked up the next day for my fridge in my semi. Lol
George's is an institution I've been coming for 30 years and still stop by most of the time when I'm in Walsenberg. Can't go wrong with an open face green chile cheeseburger!
Excellent red and green chili, fries burgers and hot dogs. The BLT was very good. Will be back to try the steak sandwich. The Lemon Merang is excellent. Service friendly and expeditious. Atmosphere casual. It is a walk in sit down place, but it is worth walking in and sitting down.
