“Had the best time and food! Our first time here and we sat at the bar. Drink special Simple Plan was tasty with a spicy finish so just right! We loved Tuna Tartare. Best tartare ever and we are not kidding. Poached Shrimp Tostada was good too. Spicy Caesar Salad delish to the last bite. We finished with Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée which was well balanced sweet and flavor tasty. We talked with others at the bar about their dishes and those got good reviews too. So we are looking forward to coming back.“

“Since a lot of these reviews appear to be old, clarifying 2 things: there are two locations (norfolk & hartford) run by Good Works Entertainment. The Hartford location used to have a bistro but does not any longer - they have chips and candy. The highly regarded Bears smoke house is across the street as is the convention center and hotel (that ay have a special rate if you ask). hartford location has nearby street and paid parking unaffiliated with the venue. Both feature a range of arttists so check one or both out with friends and family.“

“Walking by The Lab on our way to Leaps and Bones, I always look at the creative menu posted in the window of The Lab. Today my pup got some treats and I took home a sandwich that was spectacular! I’m sure my pup and I will both get treats every time we go to Factory Square in the future!“

“We had my daughter’s baby shower at Lola’s. From the start of booking until the day of the shower. So easy to work with. The day of the shower, we were greeted with such warmth and truly our waitress for our party, Becky, was fantastic. Catered to our every need and was so beyond helpful. She worked very hard and was so pleasant! The food was amazing and plenty of it! Guests went back for seconds! Becky even went above and beyond for my mom who couldn’t eat something and prepared a new one just for her. Truly a gem of a place! “Stopped in for a very last minute birthday dinner. The staff quickly accommodated a large group (with kids) no problem. Food and service was excellent and the live music really made the night. We were very impressed. Thanks for a memorable night.“

“Factory Square is a huge old factory that was converted into a mixed-use space. Parking was free and plentiful; you have the option to park on street or in their huge lot. It's located on a paved bike trail too; the entrance by the bike path didn't have an elevator but on the side entrance, there was one. The space was spacious, loved the exposed pipes, bricks, and the historic feel.

There were a few businesses that we visited on this occasion. The first one was Perkatory Coffee for some caffeine; then Rosie's Royal chocolate for some sweets; then The Lab for lunch; finally, Witchcraft Brewery for a beer. Service from these places were great. There were tables and seats in the hallway you can dine and relax at. Other businesses include, a bakery, a pet shop, CrossFit, escape room, arcade, etc.

I think this is a great use of space and a fun spot to hang out at. I loved all the options there. I think they're constantly adding new businesses too. Overall, a fun spot and worth the visit!“

“I went to a Yard Goats game last night in Hartford. I was very happy to discover that Ted’s Burgers sold their steamed burgers inside the stadium. The burger I enjoyed had plenty of meat and cheese and was very tasty! The bottled water was pretty routine. I even got to meat Ted!“

“I’m not sure why the recent reviews I’m reading through now are on the negative side! My husband and I accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant (we happened to be in the area), and immediately were met with excellent hospitality. I am gluten free and vegetarian, so finding a place with kind servers and food I can eat is becoming increasingly difficult. They serve complimentary bread up front (which most restaurants don’t even bother with anymore) and have an option for gluten free bread(if you ask for it) at a slight up-charge. I ordered the Korean rice bowl and my husband ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese..the food came out super fast and was delicious. I have a very low spice tolerance, so I thought my bowl was on the slightly spicier side..but it’s Korean style food so that’s to be expected. We ordered a peanut butter bar for dessert, also gluten free. I didn’t get a picture unfortunately, but it’s was super rich but not too sweet. Definitely worth the trip!! People need to start writing more positive reviews for places because this restaurant definitely deserves more positivity.“

“Came in last minute this past Saturday with a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 children under 11) as grandson had a baseball game nearby. Was my first time. Food choices were very good and kids menu also had lots of offerings and their meals also included ice cream. I can’t say enough about our waiter, Matt. He was just the perfect server for our party, as he had children himself and totally understood how challenging it could be eating out with kids. He put the kids orders in right away. He knew just want to stop by and check on us. He is an asset to your restaurant and you’re very lucky to have him. We will definitely be back. Was a very positive experience.“

Most of the food was very good, although a few menu items advertised fries, onion rings, or berries as included, but they weren't. The chicken pasta was a bit disappointing and lacked flavor, but everything else we ordered was well prepared and enjoyable. I'd still come back and try more items from the menu.“

“We are up from Texas for the summer and I told my wife I wanted to try restaurants that we have not tried before. My SIL and her husband came by and they let me pick the restaurant and so I chose knowing nothing about this restaurant. The food was amongst the best that I have ever had and the others agreed. The Hanger Chicken was my choice and I can not speak to highly of it. The spiciness was very good but the sauce was fantastic. Raven was our server and she was fantastic and joked along with us. “I had a great experience at The Bar & Grill in Newington. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt casual, comfortable, and welcoming. It had the kind of neighborhood spot feeling where you can relax, enjoy good food, and not feel rushed.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came out hot, fresh, and exactly as ordered. I also liked that it felt like a fun place to meet up with friends, grab a meal, watch a game, or just enjoy a laid-back night out. The overall experience was easy, enjoyable, and exactly what I was hoping for.

“I used to love this place!!! Haven't been in quite some time and after my experience I will not come back ever!!! There were 3 of us. 2 of us sat down at the bar first. The bald white guy nor the female working greeted us!!! In fact he just gave us an ugly stare, no greeting whatsoever!!! He then proceeded to throw 2 menus on the bar in front of us. When I asked for a 3rd menu, he pointed at one of the menus he had already laid down!!! I said there's 3 of us!!! He brought a third menu still not a word from him or the female bartender who kept walking by as welll. We sat for a few minutes, they both continued to act as if we weren't sitting there. Still no greeting.....be right with you....can I get you some drinks.....water anything. Finally, after about 15 minutes of sitting and continually being walked by and ignored, we walked out!!! At that point I didn't want this guy to serve me an ice cube!!! It took every thing in me not to let him have it. As a customer service supervisor.....the last thing I am going to tolerate is HORRIBLE SERVICE from anyone!!! I was totally disgusted with the service we received!!! Oh wait....we never got any service....just a bunch of frowns and ugly stares!!! FYI....I DID NOT TAP RECOMMEND!!!“
