“My stepmom and bridal party surprised me with my bachelorette this weekend and this was where we came. I had never been here before and honestly it’s exactly my kind of place. Owner was present and kind, food came in a timely manner, between cornhole, pool tables, and arcade games there’s plenty to do. Live band was great. We loved the atmosphere and will definitely be back! Thanks for a great night!“

So next time you go, make sure you ask for Taylor, but if you’re a regular, you already know how nice she is, but for those who are looking for a good place to eat or get a little tipsy, see if Taylor is there, also a quick little secret is to TIP GOOD! “Just moved to Wallingford and wanted to find a local bar nearby. Didn't realize Wallingford bars close at 11 on Sundays so someone told us about this place! My bf and I loved it!! Bartender Jordan was super nice, very attentive and fun!! Drink prices were great too! I was extra excited that it was karaoke night!!! Exactly what I was looking for!! “It’s a cheap local dive lives up to what you would need from a watering hole. Inexpensive drinks, not pretentious, mainly plastic cups, good people. First time, walked in and had a small chat with a patron before the night was done. Plus, unlike some other aptly named Irish pubs, they do have Guinness *cough obrians*. Decent draft list too for a small local. Didn’t play, but seems like a good setup for darts too. I might not take a date or the wife for low key dinner and drinks, but after work or a friend for a cheap blow off steam evening? Absolutely.“

“If you don’t mind fighting with traffic, Buffalo Wild Wings aka BWW made it well worth the trip. Located in the ShopRite plaza, it’s in the corner the plaza next to Moe’s…and has a separate entrance/exit for take-out orders which was a huge plus. Plenty of parking but I did notice only a few spots for take-out..people just part in the fire lane.
Now to the food…I’ve had BWW before when I lived in Danbury and am very aware of the atmosphere (grew up in Sports Bars). I got the app exclusive “20 boneless wings and a large fry for 16.99”..so with that, you can get a choice of any 4 styles of sauce and 4 sides per se..whether it’s just dipping sauce or celery, etc.
Fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked..the whole large fry didn’t have any cold, none tasted burnt and not like most places where some are seasoned, others aren’t..on to the wings..Caribbean Jerk, Sweet BBQ, Honey BBQ and Lemon Pepper. It took me 2 sittings to eat the wings as to be expected because unlike fries…wings can be reheated. These wings did NOT disappoint. There’s a reason why BWW has taken over the wing industry and leaves everyone else miles behind in the dust.
1-5…4.7 and on a 1-10…9.8. If don’t know what it’s like on a day when there isn’t football as far as volume goes..but it was wayyyyy too loud and I couldn’t imagine what it would be like with the place jam packed with people drinking and cheering on their teams. Being one who suffers from vertigo, my only recommendation and why I took off a percentage of a point..maybe hopefully some day they could do it to where they could bring it to the car as a true curb service. (They might do that already, I don’t know and didn’t notice). I’ll definitely be back again.“

“I've been going to Romas for years. The drinks are on point and Adam is great. Unfortunately I can't remember the female servers name but she pretty cool as well. We sat outside and it was.relaxing, other than the occasional loud car music passing by it's a great spot to unwind after a stressful day at work. I gave three stars for the food because this particular day my wings were overly salty. The calamari was ok and the pizza crust was a little to burnt. I counted this as just an off day because I'm usually content with the food. My job hold our Christmas party here every year and they do an awesome job with the food and the service. I'm sure you will enjoy if you go and if something is not up to your standards, send it back, they are very accommodating.“
