One of the better Chinese places around here. We usually order shrimp Mei Fun and shrimp Lo Mein. Those dishes are pretty good.

It’s a small take out restaurant. Nice and clean. The workers are friendly. I ordered General Tso’s chicken with fried rice and egg rolls, and everything was delicious! Egg rolls were crunchy and fresh. Generous portions and still hot when it arrived—definitely worth it. I’ll be ordering again soon!

We have been coming to China Garden for about two years. At first, we loved it but the last two times the food was not good. We decided to try one last time last night and it was definitely the last. I went to go pick up the food and the girl at the desk was too busy on her phone to look up to acknowledge me. Several people in the kitchen saw me and said nothing to her or came out. There was an open trash can to the side of the counter with the lid open which had flies around it.
As far as the food, it was again not good. My husband said his general tso's chicken had no flavor and the rice was dry and had a strange taste to it. The wontons in my soup had a very bad aftertaste and I ended up throwing it away. Not sure what happened to this place but we won't be back.

Truth is, I did not go inside. I could smell fish a block away and it got worse as I got closer. There is really no room to eat. It looked very dark inside and no one came in or out of the place during the time I was walking in the neighborhood. Perhaps my review is biased but is hard to eat at a place w/ a strong smell of fish, dark lighting, and no clients.

Awful.. the only thing that was decent was the egg rolls.awful chow mein,beef with broccoli and general tsaos. Not one of the three of us liked our meals .the restaurant area was colder inside than it was outside. Had to go stand outside in mid March to warm up .big mistake and a waste of money. Stay away, it's a shame that it's so hard to find good Chinese food in Branford.

China garden which opened up just after covid is easily the most popular Chinese food takeout in the area. By no means it's the best but it's very good.
A yo let me tell your something righ, I’ve been through many parts of America and have tried boneless spare ribs and this is the best spot to go to, Ya heard! Truck drivers bring your tractor for there’s spots out here to park at night to cop and go
Parking: Truckers if you stay 30 minutes or cop and go you good.

We ordered several dishes to share. All were great. Hunan Chicken was spicy, but not too much. The Mongolian Beef was very spicy and delicious. The Vegetable Lo Mein was mild and had many vegetables in it, as did the Hunan Chicken. The Mongolian Beef had just onions. We ordered from the website and the food was ready very quickly. Portions are large and meant for sharing or as leftovers. Can’t wait to try different dishes. Thank you.
