The barista was super kind and gave excellent service- the only place for which the card machine didn’t ask me to tip and where I wish they did because I had no cash.P.S. I ended up finding some money in my car and went back to leave it in the tip jar. Well deserved!! ?

Best coffee in CT!!! Adorable spot in the center of Branford. Staff is so friendly and welcoming, they are quick to learn your favorite beverage after going there a few times. Highly suggest grabbing a cup of coffee if you’re in the area.

One star feels harsh, but all this place has is location and a nice wooden table. The iced coffee is always acidic. I have the worse heartburn after drinking their iced coffee. Sometimes it tastes like burnt popcorn and you have to add a ton of cream and sugar to make it drinkable. After dealing with mediocre iced coffee for years - I switched to Americanos thinking a freshly pulled espresso shot would ameliorate any taste and inadequate coffee brewing skills and boy was I wrong. When you order a medium Americano you'll get 1 or 2 espresso shots in the coffee it tastes like milk with water. It's absurd to me that a coffee establishment can't brew nice light-roasted iced coffee and now they can't pull an espresso shot?! That's why I give this coffee establishment 1 star. The lemon biscotti is decent, but all the other food is as taste-less as the coffee. Train your staff to make coffee - replace old coffee - pull an espresso shot and dump it into dairy before 4 seconds so it doesn't taste like burnt dirt. I had such a disgusting, stale, and acidic coffee from Common Grounds that I had to leave work and go home and was physically ill. Common Grounds is overrated and unfortunately you get better service and product at local fast food coffee than Common Grounds.

One girl there is great at making coffee. Today is Saturday the 6rh of January and this girl who works there and is there bow at 530 has mad our coffee before and before and the coffee isn't what we ordered. It's like drinking plain water with color. I know how it's made from the other girl who works there this is a waste of money for us and we order 4 coffees at a time and it has happened more than once like 10 times. She only speaks a little english so maybe she doesn't know how to make coffee.matbe some one should teach her

cute place but the coffee is weak and the almond croissant was dry and stale. not sure where they get their pastries from but it doesn't taste like they're baking on premises. the crumb cake was also dry. disappointed.
Love this place! Great coffee. Comfortable setting. Sit outside in the summer. Can't beat it!

This cafe always provides great atmosphere and fresh pastries (as well as delicious sandwiches and wraps!). We love their chocolate croissants and their great selection of coffees + teas. There is outdoor seating out front and in the back of the cafe. I love sitting under the tree in the back in the summer. Dogs are allowed to hang out with you outdoors but no pets allowed inside (valid service animals ok).
