I used to go to G cafe more often until I moved out of state. Now I visit occasionally and lately the service has been very upsetting. The staff is not helpful or friendly, most of the time they’re busy doing other things and don’t take customers serious.Kimberly, the manager, which I didn’t know was the manager until I asked an employee there, was very rude and has no sense of customer service. From placing my order to paying for it, her service was not something you look for when you go out to eat.All I ordered was a coffee and a sandwichI love going places where I’m treated well. Unfortunately I won’t be going back to G cafe. A place that used to offer great food and service is sadly going down and mostly because of the staff they have.

My friend and I arrived a little after noon, looking forward to having lunch before they closed at 1:00. The website said the kitchen closes at 12:30. We were surprised to find the kitchen had closed at 12. Not only could we not order any of their wonderful sandwiches, salads or soup—we couldn’t even order a toasted bagel or an untoasted bagel with cream cheese. The staff wasn’t very sympathetic either. We walked down the street to another spot instead.

On a busy Sunday, you close at 1pm, but your kitchen closes 45 minutes earlier than that? I tried to order at 1:17 and I get told the kitchen closed 2 mins ago.Really terrible service if you are open until 1pm, you should be able to make a sandwich, and then close your kitchen after you “close.”Not cool

I've lived in CT for more than a decade and receiving friendly, respectful service in Branford has always been a hit or miss experience. Today was a miss. My visit to G Cafe in Branford was my first time visiting this location. Not only was I ignored, but the man who came in behind me was greeted and served promptly. To make matters worse, when I finally received my oatmeal, I found a hair in it. Thankfully, G Cafe has multiple locations within Greater New Haven and there are other locations where I can receive good customer service as I truly like G Cafe's concept and execution. However today, I ended up at a nearby Starbucks where ppl know me and where I can receive consistanly great service from the staff.

Some of wait staff at times has been rude, Sitting there having conversations while your standing there waiting to order. If you order online and ask for anything special added to the order they usually don't do it, alittle on the more pricey side BUT food is good lattes' are amazing, breads are delish. It's acute and busy shop.
