Not at all what I had expected! The food was delicious! Drinks were also worth ordering. I got the Birria Quesadilla. I also ordered a side of guacamole and sour cream. Never have had a restaurant make home made sour cream (that I’m aware of). Everything was so delicious and fresh. 3 on atmosphere because there was no music

Food was terrible, dry, disgusting. The manager (Ross) was rude and doesn’t know how to run a business. A server named Max was amazing and knows how to treat customers. There was this young girl who was clearly underage who kept running table to table and kept running to see people and rush things to people clearly stressed out and needed help. Max our server gave us everything in great timing and made us laugh. The younger girl, who was really sweet asked us if we needed anything and that she’s sorry that the service is slow today. I feel bad for the employees that have to work here with how the business is being run.

30 dollars for paper thin steak 😂 I thought it was a joke easily a 15 dollar meal I guess this is the reason why the place was dead go to Lenny’s across the street at least you get what you pay for

placed an order for takeout, was told 30 mins so arrived 30 mins later. told them the name it was under and they said just a few minutes.... waited 25 minutes for them to come out and say they never got the order. the number we called was right and they took our order, they didn't have a record of it and had us sit all that time without even checking on the order being placed ... what a joke

I understand food cost and overhead but if you’re going to charge something like $24 for a quesadilla and $26 for a burrito the quality and presentation should be a lot better. Even the kids grilled cheese was pathetic. Def won’t be returning.

The food was good.
They start you off with chips and dip. The salsa has a very smokey flavor. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it was very good. They also bring a dipping bowl of mashed beans (refried beans?). My date thought it was queso, but in took the first bite and let him know otherwise. I honestly thought it was delicious.
I got the Seafood Special. The seasoning was really good - not over powering or salty. I kind of wish there was more octopus on the dish though. I asked for a side of extra pico de gallo - it's the perfect partner for this dish. The pico was ok, but IMHO, I felt that the veggies could have been diced up better (smaller pieces) and I could hardly taste the cilantro.
I got a frozen mango margarita. The mango flavor was light, but overall it tasted pretty good. Definitely not watered down!
My date got a burrito. It was big enough for him to take home half. He said he enjoyed it.
The service was awesome. We were offered the option of eating outside, at the bar or the dining room. Outside was tempting since there are water views but with the on and off showers of the day, we opted for the dining room. The placement of the booth was a little tight as I knocked my knees again the center table post getting into the booth (I have long legs), so they quickly adjusted the booth for my comfort. The server (I wish I could remember his name) was very attentive. I'd give 5 stars just based on that.
The atmosphere was pretty cool. We were there during sunlight hours, but I have a feeling that it would be even cooler at night. My only disappointment was that they weren't playing Mexican music.
All around, a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend!

Guacamole's MUST have changed ownership. They've gone from decent to really, really terrible. The waitstaff USED to be great. Friendly, pleasant, and overall nice people. Not anymore. There were NO OTHER customers except for one or two at the bar (and I had the feeling that they were employees too!). After telling us to sit anywhere, she took her sweet time to come over and asked us if we wanted any drinks. I asked for a top shelf margarita. She gave the bartender our order and then disappeared. We could see the bartender chatting with his buddies and making no attempt to make a drink. The waitress never came back. No menus, no drinks. She vanished. So we vanished too. The last few times I went there, the food, the service, everything kept going downhill. The disappearing, surly waitress was it. No mas.

Been coming here for years and I never get sick of it. Portions are pretty big, prices to match but the food really is quite good. They have some pretty cool authentic dishes as well that you can't find at other Mexican restaurants.
Definitely pop in, grab a seafood burrite and enjoy yourself!

We went in to have a drink at the bar. The bar was dirty, and the salsa they served us had a layer of grease over the top. The beer my husband was served was not what he ordered, and the bartender disappeared and was not attentive. Would not go here again.
Great Mexican for Ct. Try the cheese dip

I wish I could tell you how good everything is here, but honestly, I tried the Branford chimichanga the first time I ate here, and I haven't bothered with any other dishes. It's absolutely delicious, and the waiting staff is amazing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I made a reservation for a party of 9 for a birthday. 7 of which have never been there before but were willing to take my recommendation for the best Mexican dish I've had in CT, but then the ceiling started leaking on us, and we all had to move. We had a great experience otherwise and will definitely still be going back for the wonderful job the front and back of the house staff did to make us feel very prioritized. Thank you!

It was ok. Very dark inside. Food was decent. I'm not a huge Mexican food fan anyway.
