We found this hidden treasure on Branford Hill. You must try Il Forno Restaurant, their fried Calamari NY style is one of the best I have ever had and their Zuppa Di Pesce is outstanding. I highly recommend eating at Il Fornos. You will not be disappointed…

A gem of the shoreline. Don't let the strip mall location dissuade you. It's bright and convivial. The pasta is scratch made and the Pizza Napolitano is amazing.

We ordered delivery...2 Veal Picatta 1 Chicken Picatta & 1 Shrimp Scampi 45 mins ago. Shrimp scampi was correct. Veal Picatta & Chicken Picatta dishes were not delivered with linguini, but with 3 separate containers of linguini in a RED tomato sauce...vs the normal plain linguini with the chicken & Veal picatta sauce in the same dish. Also did not get the garlic bread we ordered. I called immediately & they refused to make it right, but offered a credit on a future order, which wasnt helpful as we were visiting the area. They refused to deliver the plain pasta & garlic bread ordered. If I lived here, I would never order from them again. I will also contact my credit card company & request they pull payment from this business. ORDER ELSEWHERE.

Ilforno Ristorante Italiano was absolutely outstanding. The staff and food were over-the-top amazing—every detail felt thoughtful and elevated. The atmosphere had that perfect classic Italian feel, and the hospitality was completely on point from start to finish. You can tell they take real pride in what they do. Went to IL Forno for dinner last night. It was our fourth time going there. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. The gnocchi are out standing and so was our waitress Jennifer. HIghly recommend.

My husband and I decided to give this restaurant a try on Valentine's Day after I heard so many great reviews from my customers. I am so glad we did, their food was delicious. I had the Penne Alla Vodka and my husband had the Penna Alla Chef and both were superb. Oh and the homemade bread did me in:) The Mozzarella Fritta was a great start. Their sauce is amazing. It was a very nice atmosphere, the prices were more than reasonable for the quality of food, and the staff including the owners were extremely friendly and came by to make sure everything was perfect and to your liking...Also had wonderful conversation. I will definitely be back soon to try other items on their menu and also try to save room for dessert.
The eggplant 🍆 parmigiana is the best at Il Forno and the Pasta Fagioli is to die for….. Great family Italian restaurant! A must try!
