After a half day of canoeing through the wonderful Thimble Islands, we were looking for a refreshment. We bought an ice cream from Thimbleberry. That Ice cream (Brand Gifford) was delicious! The employees are just nice and very patient with our kids till they decided which flavor to go for. Just a perfect ice cream!

Located in a storybook village it is the perfect addition to a peacefully serene setting. Thimbleberry casual and friendly atmosphere makes it feel like home. Eats are good too. A must visit!

The Thimbleberry is a very cute quick service restaurant with a wide selection of lunch options. Traditional items you would find off any grill menu, paninis, and cold cut sandwiches are available, as well as the famous, hot buttered lobster rolls or the cold lobster salad sandwich. They also have a couple of breakfast options but only serve those options till 11am. The best part is cooling off with a big scoop of Gifford’s ice cream....so good!!

The best thing to eat at the Thimbleberry is not even on the menu! You have to ask for it. Insiders only. Their BLTs are too good to waste on the uninformed. Like crunchy bacon? The Thimbleberry's Bacon Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich is "to die for". The best you will ever have! What is their secret? The generous helping of bacon is Fried Crunchy in a special oven by the cook and chief bottle washer... Have an ice cream cone. They are great on a hot day in the summer or a cool rainy day in the fall or spring. Lots of flavors to choose from. Walk across the street to their dock for customers only and enjoy your lunch on a picnic table right next to the water. Before or after lunch enjoy a cruise on a boat tour of the Thimble Islands. Short walking distance (less than 3-5 minutes). Here is another Secret to reward you for reading my review. Tell them that Madison Bob sent you. and they will let you buy a jar of Thimbleberry Jam home-made by a lady in Eagle River, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Its hard to find real Thimbleberry jam.that taste this good. It si worth the trip. Just about 2 miles off of Exit 56 I95 Branford in Stony Creek, CT..

Didn't get to eat at the cuisine, but very nice place to spend a few hours, just to take in some sun and watch the sun set.

I don't remember what I had for breakfast, it was unremarkable. The staff was very nice, the food overpriced, no public restroom in the building or anywhere nearby. Great views!

On a ride thru Stoney Creek we decided to have lunch. There was Thimbleberry , a small restaurant with an impressive menu on the wall. Ordered the turkey, bacon, avocado panini and my husband had the chicken philly sandwich. Both were delicious! The owners were very friendly , beautiful view!

Strolling around Stoney Creek & decided on a quick bite. Cute place by the water. Small inside with several tables & window seating. You can take your food outside to a covered picnic area on the dock. Can only speak to the lobster roll which was tender & loaded with lobster. Not cheap but most lobster rolls aren’t anyway. $24 for the roll & a bottle of water.

We stopped here for ice cream with friends while docking our boat right outside. They serve Giffords Ice Cream which I've recently realized is absolutely delightful. Our group had strawberry or espresso and both were delicious. A great little spot
