Currently eating in my car right now and the food taste amazing!! Its my first time in Connecticut and I'm here to pick up a car. While waiting, I see this restaurant across the street and decided to give it a try since I'm starving. I ordered the oxtail and the j*** chicken with boiled plantains.

You cannot go wrong at Mamma WInnie's. Great Jamaican food prepared by great people. Mamma Winnie and O'Neal do a great as well as the others. Freshly prepared, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Unlike most ethnic food establishments Mamma Winnies is one of the few that gives you portions of carbs and proteins that are balanced making this place a healthy food choice. I don't like getting 8oz of rice for every 1oz of protein like they do other Jamaican...

One of the best jamaican food spots in Bridgeport area. Never had a bad dish here. They have lunch specials, seating, a tv, and a clean bathroom and lots of little sweet things for sale normally. Very welcoming family run business. They offer catering as well.
