“Why do people go next door to McDonalds when for just about the same price as a combo meal they could get a freshly made healthier dinner (tasting better) ? I don’t get it !! Place is always clean, food fresh & hey, dessert at Carvel right there too !!! Come On folks, support a locally owned small chain business please ! Call ahead, your in and out of there quicker than drive thru! You won’t regret it !“
“There is a lot of mixed reviews on here about this place so let me give an updated honest review. I've been to multiple Jakes Wayback locations over the years and this was by far the best one. The burgers were cooked perfect, everything was fresh, the place was very clean and the service was fantastic.“
“Their burgers are excellent and very reasonably priced. The only downside is the pandemic is now they require cash only for payments. Their hotdogs are really good. I recommend the Michigan hotdog with the meat sauce on it. It’s excellent and for those of you who don’t like to order fries all the time you can get beans and coleslaw, which is a nice change . As usually fast food places have only french fries . well for those of us who can’t eat fries all the time , it’s wonderful I can order beans and coleslaw. I haven’t tried their clam strip roll yet or their ice cream but everything else that we’ve had has been really good and they keep the tables extremely clean. I noticed during the pandemic they had a young kid sitting there with a bottle of cleaner, and as soon as you left the table, he sanitized everything very neat and clean so we felt safe going there . You could eat in your car or you could eat at one of their tables outside. This is a seasonal place so they’re open I believe in mid April and close. I wanna say September late September maybe October don’t quote me on that. Enjoy!“
“French fries were tasty, unusual shape, kind of like a steak fry. Burgers yummy, good size and made to order. the clam chowder soup was salty, thick texture with fresh clams. Service is friendly and attentive. They were a little slow with the dessert but they explained this was because they had to make fresh churro batter which was definitely worth the wait. The restaurant is a little loud but we liked the open kitchen concept and clean but basic setup.“
“Had the privilege of eating here today. As a person who doesn’t eat out often, and loves to cook I was very impressed by this place! We went for lunch and I had the double burger with grilled veggies and my mom had the lamb gyro. They catered to my dietary needs and were very friendly. My mom said it was the best gyro she has ever had, and my burgers were so delish and cooked perfectly. I can’t wait to try their oxtail cabbage soup. I can’t recommend this place enough and hope to come back when I’m in the area.“
“Good hot dog, chili, and cheese sauce. If there is a line don't worry, it goes fast. Parking is a bit wonky but don't let that discourage you. Owner parks their cool looking classic car up front and I always stop to check them out while enjoying a chili cheese dog. I would review other things they sell but they are so good, I don't want anything else.“
“Hot Dogs have no business be this good! This is the type of place you'll see on the food network. It starts at the window. The customer service is great, helpful and friendly. Next comes the hot dog and bun quality on its own right are perfect. Then, the toppings. I had two dogs, one basic with ketchup, yellow mustard and relish. I was asked if I wanted Yellow or Brown which I'm always thankful for questions like that. My 2nd one was their own red pepper relish and sauerkraut which was absolutely amazing!! I could eat 4 more of those!! Thank you to whomever Carol is (I think is one the ladies who takes your order)! HAPPY 7 YEARS!!“
“Delicious hot dog stand, the relish is A+, the Mint Rick Shake was solid, the cheeseburger was also very good. Hot dog had a great snap! Easy to get too off the highway. You know a spot is good when counter is full and no one is talking and just enjoying their meal!! Cash only & No Dancing!!“
“Frankie's is a Gem. Was immediately greeted by Tom, took my order. Everything is made fresh to order. The menu has many items to choose. We gut burgers with cheese sauce and hot dog. When my order was ready Tom delivered to table. The decor inside was quite interesting. Many older clocks. Atmosphere was relaxed. I've been there numerous times in the past and have always had a great experience. TY Tom for your hospitality.“
“Kens grill is a solid place to get breakfast/lunch for work. Love their burgers!Parking: Lot of spots. Park in the bridge community church and look for the truck with the food grill.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not in a wheelchair so this is just speculating. Might be tough to get the food from the window of the food truck, but if ken/someone helps you it shouldn't be a problem. It's outdoor in a parking lot with lots of open space, you'll have an easy time navigating around.“
