Amazing Staff, food, and everything else!! Highly recommend for every occasion. Informal or formal
The menu is small because everything is made in house - everything! They had gluten-free bread that did not have other allergins (like brown rice flour). The large salad with goat cheese was enormous and they used the equivalent of one container of goat cheese crumbles. I've never had such huge portions. I have allergies and am vegetarian but the waiter, who had been working there for 2 weeks, knew every incredient in every dish. I hadn't been there in over 40 years when it was owned by the Chart House. This owner has done an incredible remodel, and has hired an amazing staff. I recommend it highly.
Everything was fabulous except when we were on our way in. My friend is a smoker and was having a cigarette in the parking lot before we went in. She carefully put it out and tossed it in the dumpster when she was done. As we started to walk through the covered bridge to the entrance, a man (who I assume was the restaurant manager) abrupty approached my friend and aggressively said "Did YOU just throw a lit cigarette in MY dumpster"? She said "no, I put it out first and could not find an ashtray, so I threw it in the dumpster". He proceeded to tell us how someone set the dumpster on fire once because they put a lit cigarette in it. He did not apologize and proceeded to walk toward the dumpster because I don't think he believed her. It was just pretty rude, awkward and uncomfortable. But other than that, the hostess was very sweet. Our waitress was wonderful. The restaurant was warm, cozy and rustic. And the food was delicious.
This was our first visit and we'll definitely be back. The restaurant is beautiful and rustic. Our server was friendly and informative about the restaurant and the food. We all ordered soup and it was hot and delicious. The entrees were amazing. The chicken pot pie (deconstructed) was the best I've ever had. The desserts were excellent.
My husband and daughter had the Steak Frites and I had the Short Rib. We shared wings as an appetizer. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was great. We have come here many times and will definitely be back again. It's one of our favorite restaurants.
This is a lovely spot with beautiful views. The restaurant has historic charm but decorated with modern and upscale accents. The farm to table menu offers many options and the chicken pot pie was the ultimate comfort food.
We ate in the wine library for the first time. It was a nice table for 2 with deep comfy seating. We both got tbe short ribs, which were delicious! Food and service were excellent!
We had a very enjoyable evening celebrating our anniversary at the Brushmill. From our greetings as we walked in, to the last goodbyes our experience was great. When booking on line I was asked if we were celebrating anything. I clicked on anniversary, like many times before. However the Brushmill went above and beyond acknowledging our special day. It was very much appreciated.
Above and beyond! My friend is gluten free. There was nothing on the happy hour menu that was gf and that's all they were offering at 3 in the afternoon. Once they found out she had food allergies the waitresses went and spoke to the chef. He said he would work with her and they gave us the lunch menu. The manager came to take our order so she wrote everything done correctly and then the chef came down and spoke to her as how she needed it all prepared and what else was she allergic to. I was very impressed. Food was great. Service above and beyond. And best thing...my friend was full, and didn't have any allergic reactions. Phew. A million thank yous!
Food was delicious. Service and staff were both great. Where they lost me was beer prices and portion sizes. I left still hungry after a starter salad, an entree and 2 beers. But again, it was delicious for what that's worth.

Fresh soups and cheeseburgers! We had the homemade butternut squash soup- healthy and delicious! Not too sweet or creamy. Burgers were perfect. Kudos to music selection and volume level. Atmosphere is charming and quiet enough to have conversations at normal speaking voice. Drinks came out quickly and were priced appropriately. Our server was fabulous too. I only wish I lived closer. Hope to get back though 👍🤩
Well we were really looking forward to going to the restaurant, our server was clearly in a rush the whole entire time and gave us a sense that we had a rush as well. She said that the kitchen was very busy so she wanted to take our order as soon as possible and they were taking our plates away as soon as possible and the whole experience felt very rushed. We ordered the brussels sprouts as a side dish and we were shocked at the small amount that was on the plate. There was barely enough to have two brussels sprouts per person. That was very disappointing. And we felt that the price of the food was very very expensive! For six of us, with a 10% discount for theater going, our bill was still over $400. I definitely don't feel that we got that much food for that much money.
Beautiful, warm and historic restaurant inside and out... on the scenic waterfall... professional, welcoming and attentive staff... creative food choices. We very much enjoyed our dining experience, thank you.
Our hosts were warm and welcoming, I enjoyed the food very much. The ambience is perfection. Our server had 9 people to take care of and the drinks took quite a while to arrive. I enjoyed very much the tour of the upstairs and the historical knowledge and appreciation the owners possess. I love the fact that so much of the character of the building remains intact.
What a super meal on a busy Saturday! All the food was great, albeit a little slow. We were treated like royalty for our anniversary by all: Aaron, Jennifer, Seron and the host (didn't get his name:( ) The menu has tasty choices for any palate. The wine suggestions were spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed the bolognese and pot roast!
