I ordered two grinders. A meatball and a tuna melt. The tuna was a mess, had to squeeze out half a cup of liquid. The meatballs tasted burnt.

Tried to Make us pay with cash even though we told them 3 times we didn’t have it refused to let us pay with card and as we’ were leaving and were going to get there competitors food they finally budged. Thanks workers for wasting 15 minutes of our time trying to eliminated the use of there credit card machine. Reason why this place is empty and Madison grand is packed.#TERRIBLE!

We ordered takeout, a Margarette Pizza with Sausage The pizza pie was soggy and the bottom of the crust was soft . Couldn’t pick the pizza up. Without it flopping all over the place .
Classics CT pizza. Love this place since I was a youth. Don't forget your Foxon soda when you go. White pizzas very good.

My brother and I are New Haven Apizza snobs. We rate on a scale where the Modern and Sally‘s are A. There is no other A. We are impressed by Grand Apizza. The key to excellence is the crust and the sauce. The way to evaluate them is to order a “plain”. (if the shop doesn’t offer plain it’s immediately disqualified). I ordered my usual “half plain half mootz” and it was great. My brother got some other toppings and that was excellent too. We rate Grand Apizza B+, just beneath the legends. A wonderful surprise on the shoreline.

I discovered they appear to use chicken patties in their chicken parm dinners. This is sad, because, other restaurants I frequent, use real chicken breast for the same price. I don't go to an authentic Italian eatery to be served chicken patties. The funny thing is the waitress saw me picking under the sauce and cheese and asked if everything is OK. I said yes, because I was trying to figure out why the meat was all the same shape and size. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious. It's not what I expected.

First the food here is very good but I ordered a small pizza to be delivered plus other items. Everything was good except for the sml pizza . I do not know if it was dropped or what but the hole top was off of the pizza and all stuck to the box and the crust was broken and folded over. It was a mess so I called the owner told him about it and said he could come get it so he could see . He said no just call when you want one again and he would just replace it. I have 3 times he will not get on the phone he never asked for my name . Not happy as I do like this place and never had a problem before and I am very sad I have been treated like this way as this is not something I do but to buy something and have to chuck it and try and talk to the owner I am not happy. Maybe he has money to toss out but I do not but seeing he has bought the comcast building to move into I guess he has the money and one customer dos not matter. Very disappointed in the place.
