I've been a Connecticut native for decades but never tried the infamous Lobster roll. I went by reviews and this place had amazing reviews so I decided to try the lobster roll for the very first time at this place. And I must say I was not disappointed!! The lobster was so tender and not overpowering with flavor. The flavor was subtle and JUST RIGHT! The bun that it came in was so soft, warm and also had amazing flavor. I needed to add NOTHING to this little taste of heaven...
I got their famous lobster roll. It was just okay in my opinion. The meat was a little rubbery and the roll was soggy. I think it could benefit from some type of crunch in the roll to help the texture, maybe like tempura crumbles or something.
Heard a lot of hype about this place so I decided to try it out. Ordered the hot lobster roll and it came out within 10 minutes. The lobster meat itself was very fresh and the roll was a good size but the taste was a little disappointing. It was overpowered with lemon and I could barley taste the actual lobster itself. There is no option to request lemon on your roll so I assume this is how they do their lobster rolls here automatically. Maybe there was a mistake and they added...
