I'm so happily surprised to find awesome dan dan mien and ma po tofu in Connecticut. I've never been to Chengdu, but having eaten a decent amount of Sichuan food in LA, SF, and NYC, Taste of China is legit. The drink menu is also exceptional—vesper martini, Belgian beer. Sitting at the bar and having Mike make a drink while you wait for takeout is a great move.

Food was very good. Different which was what we wanted (meaning not typical Chinese fair). Only problem was they didn't hear correctly one order and we got something different BUT turned out to be awesome so all good!!

Ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo. Got 6 small pieces of chicken that were over cooked. Pork fried rice was bland/ no flavor at all. Our local Chinese restaurant normally gives us twice as much chicken, if not more, and much more flavor. ( plus they charge less). They were closed so we wanted to try something new. ( will stick with our local) Won’t go back again!
It’s not American Chinese food. The black pepper sizzling beef tenderloin and the stir-fried Qingjiang vegetables with mushrooms are more delicious than many restaurants in Taiwan. If you miss the taste of home, you can try it.

Went here with my parents this evening, as they were curious about the place and it was a good choice. The place has a nice atmosphere, the service is pretty fast and the servers attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, definitely would come again! ?

We were a party of 5. We placed our order fairly quickly and got our food really quickly. This was probably because on a Saturday night they were not too busy. We never saw the waiter for the rest of the evening. We actually had to go to the front to find someone to get our bill. Food was so-so. Mine was pretty good but my husband's sweet and sour pork was tough.
I dont typically do bad reviews but it was not good. Service was incredibly slow, waiter would run away anytime he dropped anything off without time to ask for anything. Wonton soup was ice cold in the middle, the egg rolls were super doughy and seemed undercooked as well, not a good experience

1st time dining here and can't even find the words to describe our horrible experience..The staff were more focused on cleaning than bothering to even wait on us four guests properly. The guy who was cleaning the tables with table cleaner was the same guy running the food out. Our water didn't even have any ice and was litterally room.warm. The crab ragoon comes out no dipping sauce and only 4 pieces. Food was at best Luke warm and the sesame chix didn't even have sesame seeds. I definitely wouldn't waste your time here are this place is dirty and unsanitary. had to give 1 star as no star not an option. awful Chinese Food
