Thank you to Amber for being extremely careful about making my order gluten free. As a celiac, I'm very limited to where I can safely eat. Amber was very reassuring and the food was great. I did not get sick. The gf donuts are the best I've ever had! Thank you again!
I try to visit a CT donut shop if serious CT donut fans or experts rate it highly. Although it's 45 minutes from home, Beach Donuts has been on my radar as such a place. It has an old school vibe. Nothing wrong with the looks, but atmosphere and branding are not selling points. It doesn't have to be in a beach area. People will flock to spots with good food. I ordered a half dozen donuts. A non-descript shop that shares the building with an electronics repair store. Felt like going back in time! Went late morning on a weekday in mid-February. They were out of our favorites so had to settle for for other limited options. Service was OK but the inside could use a lot of work. It didn't feel dirty, but didn't feel clean either.
