I went to Murphy's Pub & Sports Bar for the first time last Friday to see Hijacked CT. Murphy's is a very large, clean and brightly lit venue with a nice stage. There was security, that kept perfect order for the patrons and their families, without being intimidating. We had 10 in our group and a few more of our friends came in during the show who follow the band. Murphys sports bar has been a Cromwell staple for many decades under a few different names and owners. The menu had stayed relatively the same with a few minor exceptions. This is definetly a traditional “bar food” establishment but that doesn’t detract from it. The food is good, the portions are honest, and you get what you pay for. Best wings in Connecticut! Watching the Knicks win the championship with a packed crowd and hot wings and fries and cold beers, man oh man what could be better?! The staff is slow but they’re always in the weeds. Food takes a while, but if you chill and sip a drink it all works out for everyone! Don’t knock it til you try it!
